My main draw has been charging the car and I put the heat pump on. I did a few towels and bits at 90 degrees, but mainly to give the washing machine and the drains a fright. I shall have an unnecessarily long electric shower at 3pm as a finale.

I can't benefit directly from Agile's plunge pricing but I'm doing my bit to balance the grid. Between my solar and IOG I'm managing to heat my HW tank and charge our EV for a net cost of about 3p/hr (depending on how much cloud we get).

It'll be the end of the Agile era, for me, once I get round to fitting my Fogstar batteries. Then the aim will be for the SEG and ex-Ripple windfarm payments to exceed EV tariff costs over the year. I might have to add some more panels to achieve that, but they cost next to nothing, these days.

We are similar - in the process of doubling our solar array and adding battery storage, with the plan to be net generators/exporters and zero cost for the year. Not a bad outcome considering we were spending around £2400/year just a few years ago on electricity and oil. Considering IOF for next summer (may be too late for this year) or Eon Next Drive.

My experience today, with the first decent session of plunge pricing since the second lot of panels was installed, has confirmed that I need to look at other tariffs. I'm definitely not benefiting from Agile in the way that I did when I had fewer panels - and I don't have the time/energy to build the automation that's needed to really get the system working to maximise profitability. As it hasn't been a particularly nice day for being outside, it hasn't been any great hardship to stay in and get the laundry backlog dealt with while doing other bits and pieces, but there's not much other than that (and the immersion) that makes much of a difference during summer. Maybe I should put a swimming pool in?

I wonder if this is not a case of Unintended [Environmental] Consequences with Agile users up and down the country piling on the kWh's like there's no tomorrow ..

How so?  The whole point is generation is exceeding demand (which is why they're paying people to use it), and you can see today the renewable sources exceed demand by themselves.

Sorry to bear bad news but Agile customers are back to having to pay for electricity tomorrow.
It's still cheaper than gas for most of the day!

Back to workin' on sunshine. Getting well over 3kW at the moment, so might not turn out too badly, after all.

I was trying to see what I might expect from Agile based on past consumption but strange to say I couldn't find anywhere on the web site giving me my annual consumption - for elec and gas. Other than downloading individual bills and adding them all up. Am I missing a trick?
