Would have been nicer if they just set the Agile rate to zero for that period rather than complicate things...
Why does it complicate things? It just changes the calculation to a multiplication by 0p instead of 3p, but the same calculation is required - it is no more or less complicated.

It's not 0, each of us will have different rate between 0-3p depending how much you've used compared to your previous usage.
Also it will impact on Octopus Compare app results.

If they set it to 0 it would have been so much simpler really, or gave the Octoplus points £2.50 per kWh 😉 rather than introducing a third way..

You're also being charged and then given credit back rather than there just being no charge.  It obviously wasn't intended to target Agile users but presumably those with Smart meters on SVT or other non reactive tariffs.  Must admit I didn't really do much more than I would have done with the normal 3p rate ...

The operative word is nice, as in nice of them to set it to zero

Please, can anyone help recommend a phone App for my son to check Agile pricing, but I don't want to give him access to our Octopus account, so it needs to be something that will show the HH pricing without having to log in to an account.

I don't see anywhere in the Octopus Compare App to view the current prices, only a comparison of historical usage for different tariffs?

It has day-ahead prices too, under 'upcoming rates' at the bottom of the screen.

I only see Today and Tomorrow rates for Octopus Tracker there (which is one of the tariffs I've imported to 'compare' against), nothing for Agile?
