I got our neighbour to move to Tracker. They have a very similar solar/battery set up to us, but I know that they're not going to get around to doing anything with Agile rates and I do enough hand holding with Octopoints as it is. It took an age to get them off of SVC

Yeah, if you show them a bill where you save £10 they can't be asked, if you show them a bill where you save £100 they think something "too good to be true" happened. And if they read they see "price can reach 100p per kWh" and they're done 😅0

Luxuriating in the fact that my electricity for yesterday - including the standing charge - was 8p for two loads of washing, lashings of hot water, hoovered top to bottom and even baked a cake!Debt Free Wannabe by 1 December 2027

Some low and slightly negative rates overnight. Have set the batteries up to discharge shortly and recharge in the early hours. For once I've remembered to turn off the gas boiler heating hot water tomorrow morning and programmed the immersion to come on during the negative slots. Forecast for a lovely sunny day so should have nice cheap full batteries early on and get some good export across the day as a consequence, which we're spending at the beach.

Free electricity tomorrow 13-14 if you sign up to offer emailed.
It sounds like reversed Saving Session, whatever you use "over" your typical usage will be free...2 -
So this is the long awaited "free electricity"! On agile that hour is approx 4p per Kwh for me, so if I put in some real effort I may save 10p, don't think I'm gonna bother.....1

you will receive credit on your bill (the “Incentive”), equal to the value of your current unit rate per kWh for your energy tariff multiplied by the increase in kWh consumed during the Session, (measured as the difference between your meter reading and your Baseline consumption for the same period).
So for us on Agile it's really just 0p rate at that time. If I use 5 kWh during that time and my average was 1 kWh, then I'll get 4*3=12p back in 14 days 😅
This really makes it tricky for negative slots, as they would take our money back 😅0 -

I don't think it's really aimed as Agile users, who are already very aware of pricing fluctuations and move their usage accordingly. This scheme is more aimed at incentivising those on fixed tariffs / SVR to change their habits and move their usage (typically concentrated at peak times) into a slot where there is an excess of cheap green energy available.1
