    Thanks SQS and thriftylynny 😊

The eye test was over with very quickly but the drops didn’t wear off until after 4pm. Now I have a blinding headache so I’m off to bed. Hopefully back to normal in the morning.

Thriftylynny I only have one plant in my hanging basket. I think it depends on how big your hanging basket is.  My tom plant is huge with lots of side shoots & filling the basket. It’s got flowers on already. I’ve never grown them before. Apparently you don’t take off the side shoots according to rhs website.

That's correct.....you don't remove anything. That's the great thing about tumblers, apart from watering when needed and a bit of feed later on, they pretty much take care of themselves

Farm shops are always great to visit and get quality produce.

Hope the meds helped and you've recovered from the drops.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

    Thanks peewhyeff & MF.

Didn’t sleep well last night but feeling ok today & eyes are back to normal.

Pouring rain all day so have been stuck indoors. Done a bit of tidying and speed mopped my laminate floors. Otherwise just reading and watching tv.  It’s stopped raining now so have just been for a walk for some fresh air. Supposed to be raining again tomorrow

    Thanks Sunshine_girl2 & thriftylynny ☺️

Have done a bit of weeding this morning & garden bin now ready to go out for collection tomorrow.

My niece came to visit with baby so I’ve had lots of lovely baby cuddles 🥰

Used up the last of the salad bits with tuna & cheese for lunch. Just steak left in fridge for dinner tonight (with root veg mash & broccoli in freezer) & enough milk for breakfast & cuppa tomorrow with 1/2 tin peaches (in juice but I wash it off)

Aquafit in the morning then will drive to my sisters. I’ve filled the car up from holiday pot & took £50 cash out of my current account to take with me. Looking forward to a nice weekend.

I have ambitions to retire when I'm 55, and I don't have any great bucket list or travel plans.  I find your diary inspirational because you demonstrate how it's possible to have a comfortable life on a fairly low income.  You still get out and about and visit friends and family, so as long as you are happy, do retirement your way!

  • You are too young to retire your adventurous side! Give it time ! Very impressive list of past holidays, trips and experiences. Your bones are not old at 55 ! Last week I had a great time in the Waterpark riding the flumes and I’m 65!
