Hello,
I've just caught up the last few weeks of your diary and before I'd even read your post about all the adventures you have had in the past, I was smiling as I read and thinking what a delightful retirement yours sounds to me. You seem to have a great balance of seeing friends and family, going about your daily routines, resting and keeping fit, eating fabulous food and I will be very happy if I can emulate this when my retirement comes.
Re: the horse riding - you're already an experienced rider so could maybe see if there is somewhere local that offers 'lessons'. As I'm sure you know, the 'lesson ponies' are well versed in being slow, solid and dependable!

That's lot of adventures and I totally did not expect to read any of that you dark horse!
In all honesty, you seem very content with life, trips around the UK and everything else. See how you feel about it all next year as there's no rule to say a bucket list has to be written up.
Try searching your local area on line eg tai chi location or ask family to check social media for you.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thanks jwil, baron_dale, Sunshine, Arrietty & MF 😊
I suppose I was just thinking that I am content with my lot & am not really hankering after anything in my retirement.
Have had a lovely BH weekend at my sisters & now home again. Called off at aldee and stocked up with milk, fruit and veg, meat & washing liquid total spend £39.56.
Sunny this morning & forecast is dry so I will put some washing on shortly. Planning on taking it easy today. Am going to make a curry in the slow cooker & plant up a rosemary and sage I brought back with me for my herb garden. Dsis also gave me a clump of mint. My mint has not survived the winter so I have emptied the pot it grew in & changed the soil.DF is coming round for a cuppa later. Going to my friends for a cuppa and chat tomorrow & aquafit on Friday.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Glad your trip was enjoyable.
Don't overdo pottering in the garden.

Glad you had a lovely bank holiday SYA - wish I could give you some of my mint - it’s gigantic already despite getting cut all way back in its pot each year.We have made the switch to aldee from liddly/thasda - we don’t seem to be spending any more/less but pretty happy so far. We do flit about grocery store wise - always on the hunt for a good offer xxLancashire

Thanks MF and SQS 😊
Had a change of plans yesterday and went with DF to the garden centre. Bought a few more plants and treated us both to lunch with the cash in my purse that I didn’t spend over the weekend ☺️ Managed to get 2 loads of washing done and dried on the line.So today I will put in the new plants & I will weed over the next few days so I don’t overdo it. House needs a clean too but that will be spread over the week.Current account balance £9.25. “Payday” tomorrow.0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

It is true you seem very content in retirement.
Your BH sounds idyllic
I love how much use you get from your slow cookerIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks dia and thriftylynny 😊
I do love my slow cooker dia. It’s so easy to use, just chuck it all in and leave for 6 hours on low. I am not a good cook 😆
I managed to weed the top layer of my rockery thriftylynny, so I planted sage & rosemary yesterday in the herb section.Aquafit this morning & ankles were sore again so I have been resting most of this afternoon. I called into asd@ for a hot cooked chicken & some salad for lunch. Made another 50p on the app so I now have another £1 off for next time. I’m surprised you stopped shopping there SQS with your bonuses and credit card.DF has given me some broad beans from his allotment so I will blanch and freeze them. It’s been cold & windy today but the sun is coming out now so I might go for a short walk, stretch my legs and get some fresh air0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
