Carnival sounds fun plus the church coffee /plant sale last week , I live in a village with a beautiful church & grounds but it never puts on any events & apart from Sunday service it's doors are locked ..seems a shame really . Apart from one very expensive pub nowt else at all goes on round here ..'deadsville' I call it ! I think you're great with all your organisation skills also x3

Love a good plant sale, you picked some beauties.
Amazing how much more time you've got for getting out and about, making great use friends and family visits, while also going various places. I enjoy hearing what you're up to and you are a great inspiration for lower cost living xMortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.2 -
Thanks Baron_Dale, SQS, thriftylynny & MF. 😊Sounds like you are getting some good bargains SQS. It does seem a shame about your church thriftylynny. Ours has quite a bit going on including history club, knit and natter, male & female choirs, art club, but we do have a church hall too. We are part of 3 local churches & everything is held at our church, the other 2 are more rural so only open for Sunday service with only a handful attending. I don’t attend church services but don’t mind supporting local events and might look at joining the history and art club in the winter.Yesterday was raining and cold. Aquafit was good but just couldn’t get warm after. My friend came round for a cuppa & then I spent the rest of the afternoon under my fleecy throw. Made cottage pie with some mince & mixed root veg mash from the freezer & gravy. Nice winter warmer in June 😳Sunny morning here today ☀️ Moroccan lamb stew is going in the slow cooker. There is a recipe in my low-carb slow cooker recipe book SQS, but I haven’t tried it yet 😆 I used a jar of sauce on offer from mr T. Apricot & coriander tagine sauce. (100g = 13g carb / 9.4g sugar). Bit sweet but lovely with lots of veg.I put it in the slow cooker with cubed butternut squash, diced red pepper, sliced courgettes & lamb steaks. Makes enough for 4 portions for me with broccoli and cauli from the freezer.Dentist went well this morning. Paid £26.80 from annual bills pot. DF brought his hedge trimmer down this afternoon & cut back more shrubs. Then it got very cold & started raining. The sun has just reappeared so I’ve been for a walk round the village.Doctors appointment tomorrow then I am meeting my niece and baby at nearby out of town shopping complex for lunch & a wander round the shops 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
