Everybody's been completely useless... NatWest support, Ulster on the phone, NatWest again, just going in circles. I didn't think a bank could be worse than Co-op...0

FWIW I later called them to inquire about something else (account type change) and the lady on the phone was totally lost, in the end she said I should call them again or just contact Cora because "she knows these things very well".

Thanks everyone! Despite what the staffer on Cora/chat said it seems they opened my account regardless. Got texts that card and PIN coming this morning. No account details or customer number yet though. And nothing about the switch.0

I applied online and wasn’t asked to upload any documents etc. Today I received the printed application to sign and return. It asks for the printed application to be signed and returned along with any supporting documentation. The letter gives no specifics on what the supporting documentation would be. Reading other replies it looks as though I just need to sign this form and post it back. Is that correct? The hard search has appeared on my credit file.0

You could take it and two forms of ID to a local NatWest branch to be safe but yes, it seems they open the account without ID too despite insisting to the contrary1

Don't know if you need to but I filled in the gaps ... i.e. name on card and investments/savings.

So I’ve now had a “your debit card is on its way” and a “your switch will be completed on 30/03/2023” text (and a switcher email) but I have no idea what my customer number or account details are.Would a NatWest branch be able to locate these details for me? Or would it just come up with my NatWest customer profile?0
