Ulster application

I'm having a right old time with Ulster Bank. Sent my application form back over a week ago, but heard nothing since. I queried it on the chat and was told that "I can see you returned the form" and asking if I submitted ID.
I explained that I wasn't asked to, and asked if I could take it to a NatWest branch and if so what I needed. The agent kept repeating that the form would have contained all information regarding document submission like a robot...Anyone experienced this? What's the solution?0 -
I had the same. They told me to put my passport and driving licence into an unrecorded envelope, stated it wouldn’t get lost etc. ridiculous. But then the account got opened without me doing anything else. So just wait a few days and they should open the account.0

I received a text today saying my account was now open and I’d receive a welcome pack in 10 days. I never sent any identification when applying.0

Thanks both. How long did it take from sending letter back?0

My letter didn't ask for any ID either so I took it and ID to a NatWest branch, they photocopied my Licence and council tax for and sent it off for me a week ago, Iv'e heard nothing since[Deleted User] said:I'm having a right old time with Ulster Bank. Update this account was opened during the process of account opening and was visible in the app the next day35har1old said:

What branch did you select in case that makes a difference?35har1old said:

If it was visible in the app the next day, it was applied for as an existing (or former) customer. You cannot apply to any NatWest Group bank as a brand new customer and have access to online/mobile banking the next working day.Ed-1 said:

The application reference should still appear regardless, although it can be easy to miss. Ulster’s application process leaves a lot to be desired; it’s definitely one of the worst, if not the worst, of all current account providers. From not letting you review inputted data, to not sending any emails or texts, of/for anything, after finishing the form.1
