I'm having a right old time with Ulster Bank. Sent my application form back over a week ago, but heard nothing since. I queried it on the chat and was told that "I can see you returned the form" and asking if I submitted ID.
I explained that I wasn't asked to, and asked if I could take it to a NatWest branch and if so what I needed. The agent kept repeating that the form would have contained all information regarding document submission like a robot...Anyone experienced this? What's the solution?0 -
I had the same. They told me to put my passport and driving licence into an unrecorded envelope, stated it wouldn’t get lost etc. ridiculous. But then the account got opened without me doing anything else. So just wait a few days and they should open the account.0

I received a text today saying my account was now open and I’d receive a welcome pack in 10 days. I never sent any identification when applying.0

Thanks both. How long did it take from sending letter back?0

The application reference should still appear regardless, although it can be easy to miss. Ulster’s application process leaves a lot to be desired; it’s definitely one of the worst, if not the worst, of all current account providers. From not letting you review inputted data, to not sending any emails or texts, of/for anything, after finishing the form.1
