Okay since a lot of you have helped me, I thought I'd let you know the good news that we have individually received £200 per person for switching to Natwest/RBS/Ulster. So that's a total of £1200 !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!5

This is not strange at all. They have to do their own checks to verify you.Netherspark said:Shedman said:

Shame, that puts it out of reach for me. Weird that Ulster didn't require anything like that.
This is still strange practice for a mere account switch.0 -
Well done, keep going and your £1200 will grow, I'm a loner and reached £1800 so you have plenty to do yetworriednoob said:Okay since a lot of you have helped me, I thought I'd let you know the good news that we have individually received £200 per person for switching to Natwest/RBS/Ulster. Thank you so much Mike. I'm a bit unsure when you say £1200 to £1800 - How is that even possible?MikeJXE said:

I just got rejected trying to open a Natwest bank account using their strange photo ID / video method despite opening a credit card using the same process 3 weeks ago and starting the application process from their online banking.
"We need to check your identity when you open a bank account. Unfortunately, we couldn't do this with the information you gave us".
From what I've heard it's not worth going through the pain trying to phone them to sort it out.0 -

I'm on my own and made £1800 between December 2022 and May 2023 by the end of September i will get another £75 from TSB
You can double what I made if there are 2 of you opening solo accounts the possibilities are endless.
I'm stuck now for a year or so now I have opened them all
You can also make £200 per year by having 10 active current accounts or credit cards linked to Yougov finance (you need a Yougov account to do that)1 -
Then don't phone themjaxkesa said:Stargunner said:

Start the process again and give them the information they require.0 -
Thanks Mike. I'll be honest, but I find the TSB method of earning £75 a bit too much of a headache, so I'll give that one a miss. However, we've each managed to open a Halifax Reward account and also opened Metro as a burner account, to make a switch into Halifax. We should get at least the £150 each if not anything else.MikeJXE said:

With regards to Yougov - we don't feel safe enough to provide 10 current accounts and we certainly don't have 10 accounts each, haha.1 -
I'm thinking of changing from Barclays to Natwest, I know I'll get £200 for switching but won't benefit by getting an overdraft facility or anything else. I know the Natwest Select account has round-ups on your spending but it's just my money being saved in another account. Not sure what to do. Any thoughts?0

My switch with Ulster finishes on Thursday and I'd say that the account setup was quite quick, honestly. I do hope I get the bonus, as I've had RBS.1
