Hiya - Just an update that Natwest have paid both myself and my partner, so thanks very much for that.

RBS is also in progress, but I have a question related to the Ulster Bank:-

We've received the Ulster paperwork, which we signed, sent back and then got a few text messages and an email:

But unlike Natwest and RBS banks which provided us with a CUSTOMER NUMBER, Ulster have not provided this.  Where can we our customer reference number and how will we be able to setup our online and app banking if we don't have one?

Ulster are just slow with a capital S. Slower than the slowest thing. S-L-O-W.

But they get there in the end. I got the form to sign about 5 days after applying and the customer number came via email after a further 10 days.

Thanks @boingy - Your absolutely right and your going to laugh at this - After 5 mins of my previous post, Ulster emailed borth me and my partner our customer numbers - It's like they were reading my posts on this forum  :D:D:D

Now I dare ask, where is my password and how will I receive it?  Also how do I register for the online banking?

Following on from above, has anybody received the £200 incentive swapping an account within the Natwest group without issues?

My 2 donor accounts had ended up being with RBS and Natwest, both new accounts which had received the incentives. I switched the Natwest account to Ulster and met all T&Cs, but haven't received the £200. An advisor on live chat confirmed I have met the criteria and advised me to raise a complaint about not receiving the £200.

I'm wary of doing this in case it causes issues with the banking group overall. has anybody else had to do this that can share the outcome please?
Just to update, the £200 appeared in my Ulster account a few days after contacting live chat, without raising a complaint.
  • I switched from a newly opened account to my already years old Natwest, and received the offer the next working day after I’d transferred money. Same for RBS.

Does RBS ask for photo ID during the application like Natwest does?

Same method as NatWest - photo of ID and a live facial video via Hooyu

Shame, that puts it out of reach for me.  Weird that Ulster didn't require anything like that.

This is still strange practice for a mere account switch.
