I haven't had a Natwest account for about 10 years, anyone experienced this, or have any ideas? They did the same to me. I was initially accepted, but then rejected on the same day they carried out a search of my Equifax credit report. I had quite a bit of recent activity on there by that point, so put it down to too many applications in a short space of time.If they've rejected you for an account, it would be unwise to apply again within the next few months.

Tempted to give Ulster and TSB a go but then it'll mean that's 5 hard searches this month. I hope these offers are still around in August so that I can try. Don't need credit right now but just feels risky having a 4th, and then a 5th.0

You would see an impact due to the number of new accounts, which might not be helped by waiting just one month.I had 5 hard searches of Equifax over 6 months, and I think that was what led to Natwest refusing me a current account (since an Ulster application went ok a couple of weeks prior to that).

Can't decide whether to go for the Ulster switch or not. I did Natwest and RBS early on, both successful. Have I left it too late for Ulster? I've got a metro account I can switch. I'm put off by the length of time it takes, both Natwest and RBS were very quick. Also I don't have the spare cash to transfer in so would have to make several smaller payments to satisfy the £1250Errrr...come back later0

The application and switch process is illogical and longwinded but it's just time (3-4 weeks), worth £200.
You can move money in and out immediately, so £250 five times would do it.3 -

The offer is still there, why not switch?2 -

Hello everyone - couple of questions and issues. As some will know, myself and my partner have applied for all 3 banks (Natwest/RBS/Ulster). Natwest has now emailed my partner to say that the switch is complete. So the £1250 has been transferred into the Natwest current account. We could do with the money, so are we okay to now withdraw the money or will this mess things up?
Also I thought I'd ask Natwest's Cora assistant about this, but one of Cora's questions was "Thanks for confirming. Finally, have you received a switcher incentive from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland or Ulster Bank since 2017?". Does this mean that we won't get the incentives for the other accounts? I'm just worried because my partner and I have had multiple hard searches for this month alone and our Credit Score has already reduced drastically.

I can't see anything in the terms excluding you from all 3 lots of £200. Their terms only state "You won’t be eligible for this offer if you’ve already taken advantage of a cash switcher offer from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and/or Ulster Bank between 1st October 2017 and 13th February 2023." and "• You can only benefit from this offer once, meaning that even if you apply, successfully open an account, and meet the conditions of this offer for more than one eligible account, you’ll only receive one payment." So if you haven't had an incentive from Natwest/RBS/Ulster since 13/2/23 there's nothing in the terms stating you can't have £200 from each bank. Many on here have received all 3 lots of £200 without issues.
Regardless their systems don't seem to enforce their eligibility rules fully anyway in line with the terms. I got £150 from RBS last year but still managed to get £200 from Natwest and Ulster this year.
