Natwest, RBS and Ulster Bank have launched a new bank switch offer today!

Here's what they say:

Apply online or via our mobile app to switch a current account held elsewhere into a NatWest account from 14th February 2023 to receive our offer of £200

Deposit £1,250 into your account and log into our mobile banking app within 60 days. App eligibility criteria apply

When you meet these conditions we’ll pay £200 into your eligible account within 7 days.

T&cs say that you're not eligible if you've received a switch incentive since October 1st 2017

same here lol, if not will have to forgo the application.   If they need ID hopefully Ulster will do what RSB did in 2021, and asked me to submit online via software called hooyu.  If so that was easy to use and quick.

Do they definitely not check between brands? Did the RBS switch a couple of years ago, but would like to do the Ulster offer (I am in Ulster which helps if I need to visit a branch). I don't want to waste time applying and switching if they do check between the brands.

Can I ask, I can see that I can use the switch offer as a current Natwest account holder.  Would be looking to switch my Monzo account, now my question is:

Does this get switched into my current Natwest Account?

    or

Do I open a NEW current account to run alongside my existing one and switch the Monzo account in to that?

Any advice would be appreciated :)

You can do either. I would open another account at Natwest and switch into that. You would then have a sacrificial account to switch again without affecting your main account.

Thank you! that was my concern over having another account to burn so that I can use it to switch again lol

Natwest 'Select accounts' which don't have a monthly fee seem to be okay to do looking at it in my Natwest app :)

Yes, I think the select account is free and included in the offer. Was confused by them referring to it as the Everyday account, on the main page. :)
