One can use Natwest and Royal Bank branches for anything they or you (the applicant) might require.Aidanmc said:overspender22 said:Anyone know which ULSTER branch you can use if you live in England. It’s asking for it on the application.
You could use Belfast, but you will need to take a boat or plane trip if you need to visit branch........
Select any branch on the list.1 -
Thanks. Anyone tried to switch into rbs or natwest more than once on the same brand? Last had rbs offer in 2018…. Wonder if they’d check0

Thanks, that's Monzo out of the equation then. Do Metro bank only do a soft search?PRAISETHESUN said:
It's definately much longer than 30 days - probably 12 months+ based on reports from other people who've done similar. I'd suggest you try Starling, Metro, or a second current account with a high street bank you already use to get a donor for this switch offer.WLewer98 said:I would like to do this new NatWest switch offer. I switched away from Monzo on 16/01/23 for a previous switch offer with a different bank. Does anyone know how long until I can open a new account with Monzo so that I can switch that again? Is it 30 days? I'm just trying to avoid an unnecessary hard search. TIA

I haven't received any switching offers in the past 6 years, but my only dormant account available for switching is RBS. Reckon I can open an Ulster account and switch in, doesn't seem to suggest otherwise specifically (just mentions not from Ulster on the Ulster website, RBS on the RBS etc)0

I closed (by switching) a Monzo account on 20/10/22. I opened a new Monzo account on 29/11/22. It's now been switched.WLewer98 said:

Can I "switch" from an account that has a nil balance and no direct debits? I hope this isn't a stupid question.0

Not a stupid question at all. For this NatWest/RBS/UB switch there is no requirement to have any DDs in place.
There's also no reason to have a positive balance, however I've found it helpful to credit the doner account with an "odd" amount (say £1.23) to a) ensure the account is active, and b) to more easily identify when the account has been switched.1 -
Thanks for replying. I will make sure there is a small balance to transfer - excellent suggestion. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly.flaneurs_lobster said:eaustin said:Can I "switch" from an account that has a nil balance and no direct debits? I hope this isn't a stupid question.

Like Flaneurs I've successfully opened a second Monzo account well within 12 months.WLewer98 said:
