For all of these types of offers I've always left the qualifying amount in the account until the bonus is paid. I've no idea whether that is necessary but it would really pee me off if taking it out was the thing that scuppered the bonus so I've always played it safe.

As others have said this isn't necessary for this offer. I left my cash in Natwest and RBS for a day max and have already received the incentives for both of those, currently waiting to get everything I need to login to my Ulster account.

I don't really begrudge them having some of my money for a week or two. The return on it is pretty good.  :)

Unlike the other two, Ulster are S-L-O-W to open and become operational. Like the other two, they are quick to pay once it's open and the switch is done.
  • Hi,

I recently did a switch to RBS in February earlier this year and got the £200 switch bonus. What would the chances be if I switched my RBS account to Natwest and get another £200 bonus? Has anyone got any experience of inter-banking group switches?

    Thanks
I'm sure I saw in the terms this wouldn't work

I started my switch from Chase to RBS yesterday, account created but no text to email from RBS regarding the switch, is that normal?  Had one immediately when I started the Lloyds switch.
Thats normal for RBS NatWest and Ulster

Andy thinks that should be fine ... https://becleverwithyourcash.com/natwest-bank-switch-offer/?utm_source=sendfox&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=200-tsb-switch-436-62-savings-holiday-currency-tips-natwest-closures-monzo-flex-review-more

    ... but I think it's impolite to a sister bank ... it's like stealing your sister's boyfriend.

    Hi,

I have switched my Chase to Natwest and as soon as I activated my Monzo debit card, I have switched that to Ulster.  Unlike Natwest, Ulster is stating that they are going to complete final checks and that the application will take a few days to open.  Is this because my Monzo account is newly opened with zero money and that I should have waited added money and waited for a while?

Not necessarily. Out of the 3 Ulster was the slowest plus they may be writing to you for confirmation of ID

Thanks Mike.  I guess I'll just have to wait.
