  • Yeah, I wasn't going to get approved for the Overdraft, especially when I was rejected for a First Direct account last month too.

NatWest Switch completed 03/05/2023, bonus received today
RBS Switch completed 03/05/2023, not received the bonus yet
Ulster I returned the forms and ID to a branch a week ago today, and not heard since. Chat keeps saying, give it one or two W.D. each time I ask (every three W.D.)
If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

This is a switch I haven't done I've looked at the terms and can't see this explicity, I need a new burner with Lloyds, if I start the account opening for Natwest, whilst I wait for the Lloyds card can I start the switch at that point (might be 4-5 days) but it'll be within the 60 days.

Or do I have to pop the switch details in at the time of application? Can't see why I can't do this after (provided it's within the timeline and via the app/web as it states) but just making sure

You don't have to start the switch when you apply. I've opened accounts with Natwest, RBS and Ulster then later down the line switched accounts to them and successfully received incentives from each. As long as the offer is still running when you start the switch you will be ok.

Got the RBS/Natwest switch into existing accounts pain free. Hesitating to open a new account with Ulster or not. Not sure if another hard search is what I want, but on the other side £200 are a nice.

Anyone able to bullet point the steps with Ulster as they seem to be rather on the slow side it seems. What branch to put down I will never have to visit? Sorry but can't read 33 pages to maybe find the info.

I got a email from Ulster yesterday saying thanks for switching to us and the switch was in progress. I haven’t got anything saying about the account being open, but I got a text this morning saying the debit card and pin have been sent out. When I try registering for anytime banking, I get an error message saying service is not available. Any ideas anyone please? Ulster are busy by the looks of things, as the OB help team isn’t picking up on the webchat.

@The_Green_Hornet - when in your timeline did you register for online banking please? Or was the welcome email with customer number automatic? Thanks

When I applied I got a welcome email containing my customer number. I seem to recall I had to wait for an activation code to arrive in the post before I could register for online banking though, which arrived a few days later.

How long did it take people to hear from Ulster? Application completed almost a week ago now, email confirming the application on the night and then silence..
