I know it sounds simple but why send the letter if I don’t need to return it?
It is simple.
They sent you a letter to sign and a pre-paid envelope to send it back.
Why would you not return it?0 -

With regards your question, as you know Ulster Bank seem to tell different people different things at different times, and indeed the same person different things at different times ... just go with the flow0 -

Given the specificity, should I just send them a certified copy of the driving licence, or is this really not necessary? I called up today (didn't give application reference etc.), and they said I could ask CORA for a Hooyu link to upload it and the form, or even drop into a Natwest branch with them, and this apparently wouldn't affect the switch bonus, but I'm minded to just send whatever is needed through the post to be on the safe side.
They photocopied my driving licence and council tax, sent it off for me and all went smoothly
I have been paid from Ulster bank and Natwest
I took all my ID and the form and covering letter from Ulster etc. into my local NatWest branch, and they photocopied it and said they will get it certified and then send it off. For me personally, this is much more convenient than posting it, as I've now submitted it to NWG - no concerns about sending it without Proof of Postage and it going missing etc.
I am unsure how they send it to Ulster though - idk if they post it from the branch, or if they have an internal electronic system - @MikeJXE - did they happen to tell you please? I meant to ask but completely forgot. If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

I signed up for an account and got a text/email from Ulster asking me to verify my ID via YuHu. I did this yesterday and received a letter to sign today. In the letter it says if I have verified by ID I don’t need to return the letter. Is that right?
I know it sounds simple but why send the letter if I don’t need to return it?
They probably provide the letter option for people who can't/don't want to use YuHu. And they probably send the letter at the same time as the text so that people who need to use the letter option don't face unnecessary delays.

Whatever that means post or digital I don't know, I didn't particularly care at the time but it worked
With NatWest Ulster Bank and RBS more patience is needed, my first try with RBS failed so I went through the process again and it completed today.
The next 7 days the reward should be paid or not, just need to sit back and chill1 -
The switches are in motion. RBS now shows the switched balance so I think it is complete, and I have asked them to confirm all I needed to do is done. The account I'm switching into NatWest no longer shows online, but the balance hasn't come across to NatWest as of yet. I'm guessing it is probably in a queue for someone to apply to my account.
I switched across Santander to RBS and it completed today, but the Santander account shows online still with a nil balance. Is this normal please? Wondering if I need to contact them, to ask them to remove it from my online profile. Thanks!

Are you micromanaging an automatic process @ForumUser7 😉

I've found donor accounts will close at any point on the switching date so it will probably close later on today.
Occasionally though the donor account stays online until the day after the switch completes but becomes unusable, then disappears the following day. I've only had this for accounts that have been switched out on a Friday though.

Husband recieved his £200 Bonus this morning. he also got the Natwest one a month before.
That makes 3 switches each in 2 months. Going to give it a slight rest as theres no new ones for us to do but i would like to get 1/2 more each before our Holiday in August.
