If I recall correctly it took them about 3-4 weeks to get my account set up fully. They are quite slow (not as bad as HSBC though) but do get there in the end.adamp87 said:How long did it take people to hear from Ulster? I think I applied online on 6/5. Just received email saying switch started and due to complete on 25/5.0

Do you have to keep these accounts open for a minimum period of time or kan you switch it to HSBC once the £200 has been paid and two SO have been set up?0

As long as they've paid you the £200 you are free to switch away if you want.EllsBells said:Do you have to keep these accounts open for a minimum period of time or kan you switch it to HSBC once the £200 has been paid and two SO have been set up?1 -
Applied for Ulster at beginning of April. Nothing until today May 18, six weeks later, when a letter dated day after application arrived requesting a signature and return of form in SAE provided. A record! In the meantime, made a second application at end of April with identical details as thought original one had failed, and that went through fine and the £200 is imminent. Hopefully as there's two application numbers I will end up with two customer numbers and possibly another £200, or at least with a second Ulster bank account for switch🤣0

Got £200 from Natwest yesterday took nearly 2 weeks. Now to switch to RBS and try and get another £200.

I've just completed the set and now have my third £200 from ulster. Similar time lines as reported by others for Ulster, paper form received to sign on 5th day after applying, confirmation account open on 12th day, and £200 in my account on 23rd day.
Very happy with the RBS and Natwest accounts as I can make £96 / year on each for the rewards and benefit from the 2 x regular savers.1 -
I've just applied for an Ulster account online. At the end it said we'll be in touch in a couple of days, which is fine, but I expected to receive an email or a text as part of the application process and got nothing. Is that normal?0
-
Yes this is normal. If my memory serves me well the first communication I received from them was a letter asking me to sign and return a printed filled in copy of the application form I'd filled in online a few days earlier.boingy said:I've just applied for an Ulster account online.
