Hehe. It's good to know they are keeping up with technology. Fancy not even sending an email confirming the application.Bridlington1 said:
Yes this is normal. If my memory serves me well the first communication I received from them was a letter asking me to sign and return a printed filled in copy of the application form I'd filled in online a few days earlier.boingy said:I've just applied for an Ulster account online. At the end it said we'll be in touch in a couple of days, which is fine, but I expected to receive an email or a text as part of the application process and got nothing. Is that normal?1 -
It gets even better, they'll most likely send you a paying in book by the end of the month.boingy said:

Brilliant. TBH they are welcome to do anything they want just as long as it doesn't cost me any money and I don't have to visit my nominated branch in person...Bridlington1 said:

What kind of communications have others had from Ulster following the application please?
I completed my application on 2nd June, made a note of the reference but have received absolutely no contact since. No acknowledgement emails (checked junk etc.) no letters, nothing like with the Natwest/RBS sign ups. Seems very strange.

Like others have already said previously Ulster work very slowly, you will receive a letter in the post usually a couple of weeks later and then slowly but surely it all starts to go through, you just have to be patient, there are a couple of great posts with peoples timelines under an Ulster thread on this board if you want to check them out but don't expect the bonus for a few more weeks yet.0

So do Ulster like Natwest always require photo ID for the application?

They never asked me for photo ID but others may have different experiences of this.Netherspark said:So do Ulster like Natwest always require photo ID for the application?0 -
Same here - no photo ID request for me - just a form in the post to sign which was received 5 days after applying. Posted back sane day and email received 7 days later advising account was open.Bridlington1 said:

Does anyone know if you switch to the Natwest Select account do you need to set up any direct debits or is it just pay £1250 in and use the app? the account I would be switching from I don't pay any DD's out of or have my wages paid into.0
