You should get the same customer number. I left RBS completely and then returned. The number was the same. Incidentally this did not help with overdraft etc applications. That part started from scratch.
  • so can you switch an rbs account that you have just recieved a bonus on to natwest in the hope of getting their bonus too?

I am having the same issue, I am waiting for someone to get back to me on Cora. It's for the Ulster switch but I was told to use the same words. I managed to get a reply via the app but it's not easy and I still don't have a resolution. I asked Cora in the app last Friday, someone replied on Tuesday, but the app doesn't notify you and if you don't reply in two minutes they put your request on hold. And then you wait another two days to get a reply, during which time you check the app every hour just in case they replied. I have called them but they can't discuss switches over the phone, only online, so they send you back to Cora.
I managed to talk to someone in the app, my switch will complete on the 31st. 🥳

Check the t&cs, I don't think you can switch within the group with this one.

I think it might be risky as it may draw unwelcome attention to yourself. There are alarm bells going off at the moment.

I suggest stick with the Natwest for a while, look into their RS and perhaps open a 'donor' at a bank in another group.

Strange, I had given up on Ulster because no email no texts

I had applied for accounts on  Uster and NatWest on 12th of February. Ulster wrote to me with  a form to sign and I took that into a NatWest branch and they sent it off over a week ago. Suddenly they email saying switch will complete on 30th

NatWest has text with a code to open the account but no mention of my switch so when I get in I will do another switch

See how it goes. I think the buzz word with these 2 is patience

    Alarm Bells? Have they twigged?

Got my RBS £200 today, NatWest 3 weeks ago leaving Ulster that will hopefully payout in a week or two.
  • I’m also interested about what these alarm bells are referring to

Being banned for life from Natwest Group, so by Natwest, RBS and Ulster with all accounts being closed.

Banned for life? No rules have been broken have they?

Is there a thread regarding this?
