I’m also interested about what these alarm bells are referring to
Being banned for life from Natwest Group, so by Natwest, RBS and Ulster with all accounts being closed.
Banned for life? No rules have been broken have they?

Is there a thread regarding this?
... some unwelcome actions by the banks on our most experienced bank incentive/interest rate MSE'ers ...

That seems to be because the 'rewards' schemes are 'possibly' being abused by having multiple accounts.
Once I receive the switching incentive then I am generally done with a bank and don't bother with their other offers/rewards.

Only bank who could be angry with me is the one I have opened five dummy accounts with the sole purpose of switching.

Tread carefully, especially if they've all been opened within a short space of time and you intend to switch them out soon after opening.
  • One customer being binned by a banking group well known for binning customers who abuse the system isn’t a sign of alarm bells ringing, it’s a sign that all is well in the world.

It’s been well known for ages that LBG will kick you out for life if you take the mick and it appears the mick was very much being taken there.

I got greedy so exactly what I've been doing. Switching as soon as the debit card arrived and deposited zero.

There are no banks left for me to switch to so I guess that is that for the time being. I wasn't aware that they could ban you for life though.
  • Those who got the bonus from more than one bank, how long did the payouts take? For me NatWest was next day but it’s been two days since RBS switch completed… hoping I’ll still get the money next week.

Natwest - 2 weekdays after switch completion
RBS - 4 weekdays after switch completion
Ulster Bank - 'done and dusted' switch completed 2 weekdays ago ... still waiting

Thanks, and thanks! I’ll wait and hope to see the money early next week then.
