I was able to register for biometrics the day after I got access to the app, and was able to take out over £1000 🤷♀️0

I've just checked my transactions for Friday 17th March between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm and Saturday 18th March ...dealyboy said:@pecunianonolet ...
... it was the exact same experience for me 2 weeks ago, same sentiments, which I passed on.pecunianonolet said:Be aware, just got login details for Ulster and send the £1250 in but now can only take £1000 back out due to daily limits and having to wait for biometric registration. The 2 card readers I have already from RBS/Natwest I can't use, online banking tells me this is currently not available. Maybe because the system automatically ordered another one today? What a waste of resources...

Yes my switch completed on 22nd March 10:00am got the text 'done and dusted', got the e-mail ... got the money - no.

... many a true word is spoken in jest .
EDIT: INCENTIVE RECEIVED
My life is full of ironies. I was literally 1 second into calling Ulster Bank when I received the text ... so 7 days, 1 hour after the switch completed ... but only £200 ... no compensation £200 ... no £200 for passing GO ... they must have had a whip round .2 -
I've just switched my sole account to natwest and hubby's to first direct. Once the switching incentive has been received is there a length of time we need to keep the account open before switching again? New to all this so any help would be appreciated.0

Nope, once the incentive has been received then feel free to switch again. You might want to consider the savings accounts that are available with NatWest/FirstDirect, both have attractive products at the moment.pinkmadam0102 said:I've just switched my sole account to natwest and hubby's to first direct. No, you can switch again instantly. There are no conditions that say you have to use the accounts, although both have very good regular savings accounts that might be worth considering.pinkmadam0102 said:I've just switched my sole account to natwest and hubby's to first direct. I will usually use the account after a switch for a while, deposit small amounts, use the debit card etc, before deciding to switch again. This avoids it looking like, a blatant smash and grab and makes it less likely being refused an account If you ever wanted to go back.
If you want to avoid switching your main current accounts again, you could open accounts with banks that don't usually offer incentives, and switch those instead. Metro, Monzo or Staling are some often recommended.1 -
Ulster Bank have just texted to say the switch is complete. I know a few have posted a Ulster Bank timeline but I cannot seem to find it.
How long after the switch is the £200 normally paid?0 -
For me it was two working days after the completion of the switch.SVts said:Ulster Bank have just texted to say the switch is complete. I know a few have posted a Ulster Bank timeline but I cannot seem to find it.
