... does seem that there's a lot of variation in the payment of the incentive after the 'done and dusted' switch completion message, between 3 and 7 days recently for Ulster Bank.1

I am still waiting to hear anything at all from them.
Not sure how long ago I applied but probably a couple of weeks at least.

That's a bit annoying, my closest Natwest branch closes when I finish work, and no Saturday services. May just post the confirmation letter with no other ID and see how it goesMikeJXE said:
Same here it doesn't say what docs So I took everything to a NatWest branch and they copied driving licence and council tax account, no way was I posting them, NatWest sent the signed copies for metheonenonly said:Been sent a form to sign from Ulster. Mentions to send ID docs but I've not been told what docs, nor informed during the application I'd have to send anything.
Any idea what needs to be sent by post, along with form?0 -

Any idea what needs to be sent by post, along with form?If you haven't been asked for ID docs then there's no need to send them...Just sign the form and return as we did. Our Ulster a/cs got opened without any need to provide IDs either online or by mail (maybe as we already had RBS a/cs?). £200 each received promptly (which, along with the RBS payouts last October, we didn't actually qualify for due to getting NatWest ones previously).0 -
This is interesting as I have had the same situation - I have submitted the appeal and am waiting to hear back, but I wasn't expecting it to be successful. I genuinely have no idea why the application was rejected. Did you submit ID through HooYu? My instinct is that the HooYu verification failed for some reason, as I got the rejection email as soon as I submitted the ID, just after getting an acceptance email.alibean121 said:
I honestly have no clue. I got an email from the AVU saying the account wouldn't be opened about 2 minutes after I got my acceptance email when I first applied online. It was very quick and on a Sunday so I assume it was automated. It said you could appeal - I just wrote one line asking why the account was declined and they emailed me about a week later saying the appeal was successful with a reference to use to apply for an account via phone.ForumUser7 said:
Sorry if you have already posted this, but if you don't mind sharing the reason, do you know why it went to the AVU please? Just that I'd seen some things on the Childs and Co thread regarding them. Thanksalibean121 said:FYI I've seen a lot of people on the thread and elsewhere really stressing that you must apply for the switch when you open the account as a new customer. However, my Natwest application went via the AVU and you then need to apply via phone for the account and can't do a switch at that time. I decided to still fill in the online form later to complete a switch and see what happened. Switch completed on 14th, I made the pay-in on the 15th and £200 hit the account today.
At least your experience has given me hope that I will be accepted, as it has caused me unnecessary worry that there is something nasty lurking on my credit file somewhere (although I keep a close eye on it).

Anyone in a similar position I've just switched to RBS and received the bonus. My last switch was NatWest Jan 2018.Perksy5 said:Just wanted to share that although I had a natwest switch incentive back in 2017 or 2018, I tried RBS this time round and got £200. I now also did Natwest to be cheeky and 2 days ago switch completed and my bonus was paid this morning. So £400 up when based on t&c I shouldn't have had either. Happy days!

switch completed on Thursday and £200 incentive received today. Profitable couple of weeks after receiving RBS & Natwest incentive last week.0
