The only things I have received by post is the debit card and PIN.
A couple of days after they emailed me to say the switch was starting, they emailed my customer number.
My activation code for the app came via text a few days after that..0 -
You'll need the 16-digit debit card number of the Nationwide account, unless the account doesn't have an associated debit card.GlasgowExpat2 said:I opened an additional Nationwide account today. I’ve received the sort code and account number so I presume I can go ahead and do a switch to RBS?1 -
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I moved the £1250 in and out before the switch.
Will I need to do it again after the switch to qualify ?
To me it isn't clear in the T&Cs which is why I am asking here as someone is bound to know !

I've also used basic current accounts from Santander and BoS as donor accounts to qualify for switch incentives in the past. Can't speak for the TSB cash account, but as long as the basic account is a current account, and not a savings account or pre-paid debit card masquerading as a current account you should be fine.trient said:
How did you open the Santander basic account? I thought a prerequisite for a basic account with any bank was not having (nor being able to get) a current account in the first place.billyboy said:Hi I think you may be wrong about the TSB cash account not being suitable for switch as I have used Santander Basic accounts for switching in the past without any problems. I assume the TSB cash account is similar but I could be wrong.0 -
Hi @NotWhereIWantToBe ...
... it was my experience and others that that is enough ... expect incentive 2 days after switch dateNotWhereIWantToBe said:Sorry if this has been asked before, but I moved the £1250 in and out before the switch.

For this switching is there any requirement to install the app or you could do it all using online banking +key secure reader? Thanks0

You need to specifically log into the app to be eligible for the incentive.grizzlegrizzle said:Natwest, RBS and Ulster Bank have launched a new bank switch offer today!
Here's what they say:
Apply online or via our mobile app to switch a current account held elsewhere into a NatWest account from 14th February 2023 to receive our offer of £200
Deposit £1,250 into your account and log into our mobile banking app within 60 days. App eligibility criteria apply
When you meet these conditions we’ll pay £200 into your eligible account within 7 days.
T&cs say that you're not eligible if you've received a switch incentive since October 1st 2017

I don't think I'm the first but I've now received the last of the three switch bonuses from this offer.0

I started my switch to NatWest on Thursday 2nd March via their website. I used my Santander Everyday account to switch from. They (NatWest) notified me that my account was opened the next day Friday 3rd March. They then informed me my switch would complete on Friday 10th March. This was confirmed on Friday 10th. I subsequently registered for online banking and paid in the required £1250. A further £100 was transferred as this was my balance in the Santander donor account. Today, Monday 13th, NatWest paid the £200 switching incentive into my account…absolutely chuffed

Now I’m eyeing up the new Halifax switching offer!
