I assume the TSB cash account is similar but I could be wrong.
You can open several, but I think somebody said the limit is six. I opened two and have used them both as donors, so will be opening some more soon, if I pass their criteria.0 -
I have a FlexDirect and have had 3 Flex donor accounts used without problems for switching.trient said:ndrw said:dealyboy said:Hi @trient ...trient said:billyboy said:Hi I think you may be wrong about the TSB cash account not being suitable for switch as I have used Santander Basic accounts for switching in the past without any problems. When I open a new donor account I opt for a zero overdraught facility.
If I understand you, you want to open a donor account that will not trigger a credit check when switched. However in my experience if the intention is to gain an incentive then it is the requirements of the destination account that will determine if a check is needed and generally one is needed (soft or hard) because of the features of the new account which is why an incentive is offered.

This was more of a pedantic question as there are enough ways to open donor accounts avoiding hard checks. And to your point on destination accounts needing hard checks (although this was not my question) that's not the case if you switch into an existing account.1 -

Received the cursed Ulster application form today. Both the covering letter and the inside of the prepaid envelope say that I should return originals of any ID documents requested. But they don’t actually say what ID docs I need to send back, and there’s not enough money on earth for me to send originals in unsecured mail.I know others had similar wording but just wanted to check that they had the wording in the cover letter, too, and that it was all accepted OK without ID?0

I opened an additional Nationwide account today. I’ve received the sort code and account number so I presume I can go ahead and do a switch to RBS?0
