Hi
Thanks for thread...one question - I have read conflicting answers...to switch to Natwest non fee account (Select) do I need two DDs set up on the donor account? Martin says they ARE needed (but says this next to the Reward acc). On here however someone said they are not.
Also don't suppose anyone has a gut feel for when this offer might end?
Thanks for any help0 -

* Open an RBS bank account.
* Switch an existing bank account held elsewhere to an existing RBS account.
That suggests I should open an RBS account before I can switch. The switch bonus is available to existing customers as well as new ones. So, surely, if a new customer fails to do the switch option during the application process then they can do it subsequently and qualify for the bonus as an existing customer.0 -

If you open an account after this date then (for the purposes of the switch bonus) you are a "new customer" and you need to apply for a switch at the time you apply for the account. Of course, there is nothing stopping you opening an account and then at a later date applying to switch an account to RBS it's just that it won't qualify for bonus. If you already have an RBS Select, Foundation, Reward, Reward Silver, Select Silver, Reward Platinum, Select Platinum, Premier Select, Premier Reward, Black account or Premier Reward Black account (‘existing eligible account’) opened prior to 14th February 2023, to get £200 you must:..............

If you're an existing customer, does opening the app count as logging in? Or should I delete and reinstall then go through the set up process again?0

You are, of course, absolutely correct. I had not noticed their latest definition of an existing customer. No such condition applied when we got bonuses from NatWest in January 2018.We've not had previous a/cs with RBS or Ulster so opened Select a/cs with both (RBS last October and Ulster last month). Bonuses have been received from both despite not being eligible!0 -

Anyone on here who’ve received a switch payment in the past, managed to get one from this current campaign?
Chanced my luck by opening a select account and switching a dormant account into it, but I haven’t received the payment, despite switch completing on the 23rd.
Raised it with the chat team, who’ve confirmed I’ve completed all the steps, so can’t see the reason I’ve not received it and suggests the next step is to raise a formal complaint. I told a white lie when they asked whether I’d received a switch payment since 2017 though.
So I guess I am ineligible having received one in the past but if others are receiving them too, should I continue chancing my luck? Play ignorant? Or could it come back to bite me?0 -
