RBS app - there two options? One from Lloyd group and NatWest group?

Are they both the same?? Both have high reviews and downloads

RBS is Royal Bank of Scotland - NatWest Group
BOS is Bank of Scotland - Lloyds Banking Group

2 different apps, 2 different banks

I went for the switch into an existing RBS account in the end. Switched my Virgin money account as I don't use it now.
So we'll wait and see if I get the incentive, i definitely don't qualify as per T&Cs I'll update as as when.
May try for the Natwest too
  • Does it matter if you make the qualifying deposit into the new account before the actual switch has complete?

No, you just have to put it in within 60 days of account opening. You can put it in and take it back out a few seconds later, it doesn't have to stay there.

How long does the regular saver take to appear in the app as I applied for one at the end of last week. It said the first standing order will go in on the 10th March, so will it not show until then?

My RBS & NatWest savers showed in app the next working day. You can cancel the standing order once the account is running and change the date or pay in manually if you prefer.

Exactly the same for me for RBS, but it also showed account opening 7th March. I am going to transfer money in to current account on 8th March.

I am not concerned by this because I experienced the same thing with NatWest, the regular saver did not appear in the app until 3 days had elapsed.

I just realised that I took a screenshot of the regular saver account No during the application process and it also gives the account open date of 7th March, so I expect it will spear in the app tomorrow.
  • Does anyone know if I can switch to RBS without using apps ? I don't use apps, don't have a smart phone so, can I do it all online and quality for the switch bonus ?
