You can switch to NatWest/RBS online.subjecttocontract said:Does anyone know if I can switch to RBS without using apps ? I don't use apps, don't have a smart phone so, can I do it all online and quality for the switch bonus ?
However, a condition of receiving the switch bonus is that you log in via the relevant app at least once.0

Believe you could use a tablet (if you have one).subjecttocontract said:

Yes I have a tablet but I don't use apps. Plenty of other bank switches on offer that dont require the use of apps.0

Install it, login, logout, uninstall, 200 quid for ten minutes work.subjecttocontract said:Yes I have a tablet but I don't use apps. Plenty of other bank switches on offer that dont require the use of apps.3

You're right, what have I got to loose. I will give it a try and transfer my Virgin current account to them. Presumably I'll get an opportunity to open their regular saver as well.0

Absolutely. Remember to ask for switch at the same time as the application, can't open current account and then ask to switch.subjecttocontract said:You're right, what have I got to loose. As anyone found a way to swap a joint account over, you have to apply for an account in your own name and then add the other party but obviously then the account is already open so you cannot do a switch ? Is this a glitch in their system as everytime I fill in the online form it lets me submit it and takes me to a confirmation screen but then will not let me go any further and if I refresh the page comes up with an error message please try later.

Don't think anyone has found a solution.
My suggestion at the time (only half joking) was for both parties to apply for a new account, swap 2 accounts in and pocket £400. Then sort out the joint account.1
