I've made a couple of cards, the Mondrian inspired card is for my hubby's birthday as he studied art at college. I'm pleased with how they've come out6

I have been garden crafting the last few days as well as having a good clear out.
Youngest daughters room was in need of a clear out so I have a small pile of clothes she no longer wears which have some lovely patterns and bits on that I think I may cut up to make into other bits and pieces. Maybe some pillow cases as some of the pieces are themed (ie halloween etc)
Also spent 4.5 hours decluttering and clearing my bedroom so have found some sheets and bits to repurpose, reuse or recycle.
Today went for a walk and a lady local to me was offering slabs so I have wheelbarrowed 11 of them up to fill in a space under my whirligig that my greyhound pup was using as a zoomie track and kicking dust all over my washing! Then we walked back down this afternoon and got a smaller slab and a bottle shaped decorative pillar stone she had left . We have used an old washing up bowl to make a make shift bird bath with the pillar stone and put a big rock in the middle so hopefully birds and bees etc can use it and put the slab on an old bird table stand to make a flat feeding station. We have hanging ones and some trays but figured maybe some of the bigger birds might prefer the slab. Hoping its heavy enough to withstand the fat pigeons we have here though.
Also have been supporting local search teams with water refills. A man is missing in our area (87 years old) he went out walking the mountains around our village and never came home. There has been helicopters, bikes, drones, horses, dog walkers, police, mountain rescue and over 1000 volunteers a day out trying to find him. Today is Day 6. Husbands theory is he has fallen and slipped into undergrowth on the mountain or into one of the mining sink holes that are all over the mountains. He has volunteered to look with his drone to see if any have opened up. I'm afraid as much as I hope he is ok, that I'm a realist, and follow the rule of 3 in those situations so I don't think its looking good - especially given the weather lately too.
Anyway tonight will consist of drawing and prepping a letter to send to a new penpal - and tomorrow I think I will actually attempt a macrame bag!Time to find me again7 -
Love the cards @Tiggermad you have been very busy @sammy_kaye18. It must have been hard work pushing those slabs in a wheelbarrow. Good freebee though.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
