Wow you may be late to join us @euronorris but you have certainly been very busy. I have started thinming of christmas too which seems ridiculous in this weather.
2nd craft group session today. 2 people from last week couldnt make it but 4 new ones came. Luckily one of them could crochet so between us we were able to get 3 more people started on crochet and the 3 who started last week with me are still going strong. Group is growing and it is good to feel that I have helped some people to learn a new skill. We discissed things to make for craft fair on 9th December. Thinking of having a kids crafting session!
Had fun crafting with GSs last week. They made some shrinkie key rings and filled some shell shaped bottles with different sands including some that they had bought home from the beach on their feet. 😂. They wanted to take a bit of the island home with them. We had great fun but not counting in my total. Garden is still taking up my time other than that.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Lol, thanks plumduff and stbo, I think I did inherit my love of making things from her. She watched some debbie shore video and someone else, then adapted their patterns for what she wanted. Amazing. Even though she generally calls it 'I watched debbie thingy on that itube to see what she did'. In fact she taught me how to watch video on YouTube at a slower rate this week. Lol, fantastic.

Hi, all, I’m back! Thanks for the kind words re makes. I’ve been ‘out of the groove’ as regards to everything! It’s going to take me ages to read all your news. I think I’ll be splitting it into chapters. Oh, thank goodness for good weather, I’ve got through all the comments!
@plumduff55, I use the collage option on my phone to put my pics together. The phone does it all. Yet another pretty quilt! I like that you repurposed another you weren’t keen on. I have a little notebook I use for my makes too! Unfortunately sometimes the notes don’t make sense when I go back to them! What a sweet cardi for your dgd. The pockets are a great addition. That’s a great learning to knit story. I’ve been knitting & crocheting since I was about 4, in the fifties (eek). I was doing fair isle and arans before I left primary school. I still cannot bear to do plain knitting, unless it’s socks. I remember in 1st year at the academy, we had to knit a plain navy v-neck school jumper – I have to confess my mum knitted mine. In my early teens I started making all my own clothes (relate that to my comment about making clothes now, a little further down the page, lol). I made my uncle’s wedding cake, hm marzipan, royal icing and all, when I was 14. You could say I like making things. You are so organised, getting winter woolly hats made, especially when it is so warm.
The card for your cousin is beautiful, @sammy_kaye18; I bet she loved it. Does colouring help you when you’re feeling low? I find it very soothing. Oh no, just read on – what a horrid time you’ve been having, getting your meds sorted out. I’m glad your pharmacist was so helpful.
I think the last thing I have made for myself, was a pair of PJ bottoms a few years ago. The old ones were worn out but I loved the top! They’re just about still in service. Because of my shape (and fatness) I get disappointed with how things look on me so I’ve given up ☹, so @wraithlady, I am so happy to read that you’ve got yourself a new top and pedal pushers!
Love the doggy fabric, @emsi_b. I’m looking forward to seeing what becomes of it. The cards are cute.
What a pretty card for your dil, @florenceem. I love the kingfisher one too!
@Tiggermad, repairs can be rewarding too! I’m looking forward to seeing your cross stitch pieces. I like that some is included in the father’s day card.
I’ll have to get sewing bee on catch up – I’ve quite missed that it was back! Thanks, @daisy_1571. Your Mum’s bag looks professionally made. It’s great.
@pennib, those dolls are just wonderful, so full of personality.
Welcome back, @euronorris. It looks like you’re taming that list already.
As I said, I’ve been ‘out of the groove’ during May so not much done. Pics to follow.
Sewing – none
Woollies - 1 crochet jumper, 1x 1m square scrapghan (the wee bit of rubbish beside it is the waste wool)
Cards – 4 sympathy cards (only needed 1, thank goodness), 1 birthday card, 10 Christmas cards
Plans for June (as of today, 7th, I’ve done nothing)
1 gift bag
knit 3 butterfly/bowtie scarves
some of my ‘forgotten’ tapestry
5 Christmas cards, diamond wedding card
get back to work on small library quilt hanging
Wish me luck! Keep finding more creative ways to use up that stash, everyone.
