@greentiger "Because of my shape (and fatness) I get disappointed with how things look on me so I’ve given up " 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I love this ❤️exactly the way I feel !!! Your cards are lovely and every time I see your crochet jumpers it gets me chomping at the bit to do something more adventurous than crochet squares for my temperature blanket. Which reminds me I've not started the April square yet 😳. Must get moving.
Ive knitted the first sleeve of my cardigan and am having to change the plan. The wool is knitting up very soft and flimsy and won't hold its shape so I have found another pattern that might suit the wool more although I'll have to redo the sleeve 😡. I've knitted this twice previously and really like it but I find the moss stitch hard on my shoulder. But I'm going to persevere. I might switch between the knitting and crochet so that I'm not knitting the moss stitch all evening. . That's my plan anyway !
Here's a picture of the pattern I'm now going to doWish I looked like this 🤣🤣🤣 xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Afternoon all
Its been a weird few days here.
Not sure if the weather is messing with my diabetes or what but I just seem to feel extra tired lately and I think it is finally making sense to me that I need to drink more water!
Its just me and my daughter at the minute as my husband and son have gone riding in North Wales so we are just chilling out at home. I was going to go through my craft desk and make a list of things I have to do and get done but Im lacking enthusiasm. Roll on the cooler weather that we will be getting at the weekend (along with some thunder/lightening apparently) and hopefully then Ill feel more up to it!
Loving the makes and all the crafts!
Also for those following lately. Our man from our village is still missing. 16 days now :-(Time to find me again6 -
Take care @sammy_kaye18 It's always good to have a list even if you don't get it started now. I'm sure with our weather it'll soon be wet and cold again and you'll get plenty done xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

one tiny christmas boot made to show to new craft group for ideas. Many more to make before christmas. This one was from an individual juice bottle.

@Soontobeoap Lovely Christmas boot - it looks big in the photo. Would you fill it with sweets xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

@Florenceem boot is covered in papier mache, painted black and then top covered in a quilting wadding offcut
@plumduff55 The toe bit is sealed off. Only tube of boot gets filled (a third of an individual drink bottle). A candy cane, a 2 small pks of sweets fills it. Depending on cost you want to pay you can allways stuff a bit of bubble wrap or tissue in the bottom. A large one from a big lemonade bottle takes a box of after eights, a couple of candy canes and a few other bits. Its easily filled for under a fiver. Great gift idea for neighbours etc. This is a picture of a bigger one that I made last year. Although they use expensive ribbon, I buy it in the sale after christmas and use natural items like fir cones to decorate. In place of ribbon for a cheaper option I have used tulle. The beauty of these is that they are great for using up all of your odds and ends.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@Florenceem you cut the top off of bottle and discard. Then cut the bottom off and keep. Turn bottom over and place both parts of bottle next to each other. (this creates the boot shape) cut a piece of card to be bottom of boot by drawing aroud both circles to make the sole of the boot. Using cellotape or masking tape stick bottle pieces onto sole. Using strips of newspaper and wallpaper paste cover boot sape in about 3 layers of papier mache allowing boot to dry out between each one. When dry, paint using black acrylic paint. Then comes the fun bit of decorating.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,
