I've finished knitting the jacket for dgd and just to sew it up - a job I hate so it may take a few days !!!
My next project is a bamboo mix cardigan for myself. I looked for the pattern and imagine my horror when I realised I only had the cover page of the pattern - sometimes decluttering backfires 😱. It was a cut out from a magazine probably 15 years ago. I've knitted it several times as it's a pattern I love. I keep notes when I'm knitting things so that I have measurements etc. I was so relieved to find my 10 year old notes for the cardigan - these will be enough to knit it again. Phew what a relief 😅xx

Cant wait to see pictures @plumduff55
My sons birthday is coming up on May 26th so I am going to have to start thinking about a card for him.Time to find me again5 -
Good morning, it's lovely and sunny here again this morning - better watch out I might get used to this weather 🤪.
I finished sewing up the jacket for dgd yesterday and I then blocked it as the scalloped edges kept rolling up. I'm hoping the blocking makes them behave.
I was going to start a summer cardigan for myself but need longer length needles. I only have bamboo needles this size so I've ordered a pair of KnitPro Symfonie ones. These are great to knit with and I don't have the same problems with my shoulder pain when using them. I've gradually been changing over to them as they are quite expensive. These ones are £10 from sewprocrafts on eBay.While waiting for them to arrive I've started an Aran hat using the leftover wool from that waistcoat I finished at the beginning of the year. The one that nearly drove me mad !!!
@emsi_b I love your doggy cards
@Pennib what size are the small squares in your recent quilt. It looks really great
@sammy_kaye18 looking forward to seeing pics

Afternoon / Evening all
I am having a nice quiet evening to myself since husband has taken the kids to a mountain biking show so it is just me and the dogs since about 2.30 - not sure when they will get home but for now Im enjoying the peace.
I have had a horrible weekend. My doctors surgery has just merged with another surgery so it doubled the patient count, and then another doctors surgery who shared our surgery retired so our doctors have merged his patients with ours as well. So technically 3 doctors in one.
Well I started feeling horribly ill on the weekend and have tried to speak to doctors since Thursday. The new doctor there palmed me off to the chemist and the minor ailment scheme so I went to see him. This is a chemist I have known for 18 years and trust. I walked in and started explaining - he pulled up my medication record to see what I was taking and mentioned my antidepressants hadn't been reissued and I said I had been off them two weeks because I could just not get through to a human in the surgery to get my prescription or a medical review.
He said all the symptoms I had were text book for a drug withdrawal. It was horrendous. He sat me down and gave me a drink, rang the surgery for me and within 10 minutes a receptionist had brought the prescription over.
So Im now back on my antidepressants and will be going through the chemist now rather than the doctor. Shocking. and apparently its just getting worse which is scary!
So needless to say not much crafting here but I have pulled out the macrame pattern and cord to make a start on my first bag.
Also washed sheets for the laundry bags for kids today so can make them tomorrow.
Im a bit like @plumduff55 though and enjoying the sunshine at the minute.
It was 16/17 degrees here today and is meant to be up to 20 on the weekend so I will be happily plodding in the garden and resting I think
Still no progress on boy childs card and I have 10 days to get it done! Doh!

Pretty card Florenceem
I sewed up 3 pairs of trousers over the weekend- hems and loose seams- that have been needing doing for months
Also finished a cross stitch bookmark and got out a cross stitch I started for my mum about 8 years ago but gave up as it was very complicated! Am determined to give it a good go as it's almost half done .....
Am working from home for the first time in a while hoping that the air fryer I ordered will arrive.7 -
@Florenceem Lovely card - nice soft colours.
Its amazing what a bit of blocking does. The scalloped borders of dgd's jacket are all nice and flat now. The pattern did not have pockets and I added them as dgd loves pockets. I then had awful problems finishing them as I was guessing how many stitches for the tops. Complicated because of the cables. Took me ages but it's looking fine now. The wool matches the hoodie I knitted for her baby brother who's one next week.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)
