2023 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

I have made some progress today!!! I have sewn together some scraps to eventually turn into quilted coasters, and finished a card off. No idea how many makes I've done, so I will update later- I have lots of cards to finish off on my desk ready to go this afternoon!

I have a craft fair for a dog rehoming charity near me on Saturday, so lots of dog themed bits and bobs! It's spurred me on quite a bit.

I finished a cot quilt on Friday. It started off as a bed runner over a year ago but I never really liked it so I cut it in half width ways and rejoined it lengthways and now it's a cot/ junior bed quilt. I did free motion quilting and never realised I should have quilted over the borders. First time I've done free motion on a quilt. Anyway I did a bit of straight line quilting on the borders and I think it's ok. It'll get put by for a gift.

I love the cot quilt. Such pretty colours. 

I have been continuing with my declutter and found some old sheets in our bedroom. My two kids are so disorganised when it comes to things like bringing down washing etc so I think I am going to make them into laundry bags for each of their bedrooms with the rule that if its not brought down in the bag then they will have to wash it themselves. I found some fabric pens too so they can decorate them as they want. 

I do need to sit and go through my craft desk, its the last thing I need to declutter and have a clear out of.

I felt a bit guilty to not even touching this '4th Never Again Quilt' for nearly a year.

It is bigger than others I've made and hand quilting takes it out on the hands! Still using up my stash of fabric scraps. The only thing bought was the stronger quilting thread which doesnt snap.The quilt if folded in half in the photo.

I have finished two cards, and have quite a few more half finished. I haven't finished the coasters yet- I have a busy couple of evenings coming up!!
