@plumduff55 cant wait to see the Aran cardigans and jackets that you make. The hobbycraft show sounds amazing. Id love to go but social anxiety is not my friend and I think husband would rather gouge his eyes out than take me somewhere like that because he'd know his bank card would take a hammering! Cant wait to see your goodies you get though.
@old_fogey love the cards. they look so pretty and how lucky that you already had things to match in.
Thank you all for the compliments on the bag, I will try something else soon.
@daisy_1571 I hope your little cats box works and entices her in. It looks nice and cosy for her.
@Florenceem I hope your feeling better from your cold now too and love the cards.
I haven't done much crafting today.
Husband is due to go away on the weekend and is going to stay in our van which we are slowly converting to a camper, so he has a platform for his bed that changes to a chair and all the camping bits he needs so today my level of crafting was hot gluing some magnets on to an old set of curtains so he can put them up behind the front seats and close them to give himself some privacy and hopefully keep some heat in for himself. Ive done two panels but Im not sure its quite wide enough but I have two smaller matching panels too so I can always add to another one it need be so Ill pop them in later when he comes home and check they meet up!

Thanks all, the recipient made 1000s of origami birds for her wedding a few years ago so it's something I think of when I think of her. Just hope she's not sick of them 😂

@Pink12345 my craft group are going to do the rag wreath hearts in February. I have left them in my craft cabin for now where the branches are drying out.
Craft group enjoyed decorating santa boots for Christmas fair this week. We only managed 8. These are not counted in my tally. I am hoping to do the rest today and will send pics when I have finished. Have also finished 10 more cross stitch cards. To be honest it took me all day yesterday to put them all together. I had been sewing 1 or 2 an evening and hadnt realised how many there were. 24 now ready for sale.
Family are all coming for an impromptu break this weekend so I will put everything away but then it will be full steam ahead with another 25 santa boots for teacher gifts from GC and 3 GD quilts to finish by 25th November. 2 of them are not started yet! Hope that my sewing machine is kind to me. I havnt had it out for a while.
I love seeing everyones pictures and ideas. You guys are inspirational.

I changed my music bag. After using it I've found its too deep and floppy. I knew I'd left it a little 'long' but was pleased with it around the top (lining, handles, denim strapping) so hoped not to have to change it. Itsnot as nice round the top now but infinitely more usable.

18 christmas boots completed and ready to fill with goodies for christmas. I will add these to the 7 finished by craft group for the christmas fair. I have also added dongs and bows to 3 bells that were donated to the summer open day. And 1 more cross stitch card was completed last night
It has been a second long day crafting but I have 22 to add to my total so far. Its been a fun day but a tiring one.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@Sammy_kay18 Great to hear all your family members are doing well. Well done on tackling macrame, bag looks great.
@plumduff55 Looking forward to seeing your quilt finished, I enjoy making squares they are very satisfying to do. The Christmas jumper is so sweet, lovely memento
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine Shoes are brilliant you are so neat
@old_fogey I am a mostly self-taught quilter, mum taught me some bits(she lived miles away and I was a full time working mum), by the time she moved in with us her health was not good so she no longer quilted. I never understood why my seams moved no matter how careful I was. Now I have more time as I am more or less retired, I YouTube anything and everything, it’s a great resource. Your Christmas cards are lovely, I really like the ones featuring robins.
@daisy_1571 love the kitty bed
@Soontobeoap Wow the Christmas boots are fab, they are so wonderfully different, they should sell well, bells are cute too.
I always try and make something Christmassy for my dd and sil, ds, and friends, so this year it is to be cushions. I put bondex on the back of the fabric and cut strips, 20” long and 5.5” in height. I folded the fabric in 4 and used my accuquilt to cut the Christmas tree shapes, but as an unknown bonus I got the inverted panel which I decided to use to make longer cushions with, zero waste. Now I know the bonus feature, I will be much more accurate in placing the fabric on the cutter so top and bottom bands will be equally spaced. The light green fabric was too narrow to make square cushions so I just added a strip of the dark fabric to the side. I have some similar lighter green fabric somewhere, but cannot put my hand on at the moment to make 2 more sets. Only 6 more hateful zips to put in, my least favourite part of the process.
