@plumduff55 - I am looking forward to seeing your arran jacket.
@daisy_1571 - the cat bed is great, it will be much appreciated!
@Florenceem - that beach card is so lovely and summery - seems a long time ago now.
@Soontobeoap - you have been so busy, the Christmas boots are fun.
@Pink12345 - your cushions are gorgeous. The inverted panel worked out so well. My mum was a quilter, she died a few years ago (aged 99) I have her stash, and some UFOs and orphan blocks. My long term aim is to make a bed quilt with her stash. But I am going to start on small things to get my skills up. I have been looking at some YouTube channels hoping to learn by osmosis, or at least avoid common pitfalls!. Is there any you recommend? I have mostly watched Jordan Fabrics, and Just get it Done Quilts. And Pat Sloan on Facebook.
I have only made a couple of birthday cards in the last week. Hopefully next week I will do more.2025 craft items finished 11/12

@daisy_1571 love the bag. So pretty and useful and well done on altering it.
@Pink12345 love the cushions. How perfect to bring some festiveness into the house. Will you use them on the sofa or on your bed?
@Soontobeoap - love the boots. Can I ask how you made them? They look perfect to be used as place settings on the dinner table!
Thanks for the comments on the macrame bag. I have had a few quiet days. I had a diabetic eye test on
thursday so before hand I sat and made a thank you card with my Cricut and wrapped up the macrame bag to give to my friend as a thank you but it did mean I couldn't see anything for the remainder of the afternoon.
Then Thursday night daughter woke up poorly with ear pain so I was up all night and then sorting her all day yesterday and getting husband sorted as hes working away the weekend.
But today now I have found out my Cricut I think I will sit and do some more cards. I'm trying to figure out Christmas cards and using some cross stitches I have done too and hoping I can incorporate the two. I also have some spare cards that are colors I wont use so I think if I cut some Christmas scenes out I will send them to my grandmother for her church Christmas sale. Keeps me crafting, using up some stash and goes towards a worthy cause as well as being a good deed.

@sammy_kaye18 The boots are made with plastic bottles. For small ones use an oasis bottle or similar. Cut off the bottom and top. Bottom makes the toe part, middle is the bit that gets filled with small gifts, top is discarded. Attach both bottom and middle to a cardboard sole shape using cellotape. 2 layers of newspaper and wallpaper paste or pva on top. (papier mache style) paint black. (USUALLY 2 COATS). Glaze with pva glue or modge podge. Then the fun bit. Add bows and fur trim ( i used left over wadding). Then i put a cellophane bag insode and fill with treats. I will post a picture of the bottle pieces assembled tommorrow as it is pretty late now. this is the start of a big lemonade bottle one. You can fill them with chocs or sweets for £3.00 - £8.00.A box of after eights fills most of it and then just add bits around it. I love candy canes to make them really christmassy. Poundland do big canes filled with jelly beans for £1.25 which look good in the big ones too. They are even cheaper if you are doing several and can find some bulk deals.

@Soontobeoap Your wee Xmas boots are brilliant. I'm sure they'll be snapped up.
@Pink12345 Your Xmas tree cushions are lovely.
I'm definitely getting into Xmas mode now - I've made a list of presents I've already finished and a much longer list of things I've still to make 🥴. I've checked everything I still need to buy (for crafts only) and am hoping to buy them all tomorrow at the craft fayre. I'm so excited and I'm in spending mode at the moment so quite expecting to come home skint 😂😂😂.
Yesterday I started Xmas baking and made my Xmas cake and mincemeat. My kitchen has the most lovely Christmassy smell this morning.Happy crafting xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

I know its October but I am starting to get twitchy about Christmas. We are financially worse off this year so I think making things is going to be higher up the to do list gift wise but I really need to pull my finger out and actually start doing things!

Hope everyone is OK after the recent storm Babet.
We've been flooded out of the house and are in temporary accommodation in the garden.
3ft of water in the house so a fair few things ruined, including the start of Christmas shopping. Luckily I think most handmade gifts escaped the worst though. 😩
At least we are all alive!5 -
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine - so sorry to hear about the flooding and all the things ruined. Best wishes sent to you and really hope it does not take too long to get it sorted out.
