@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine I am so sorry to hear about the damage you have sustained with Babet. I hope it is not too bad and that you will be able to be back in your house soon and that you haven't lost too much or anything of particular significance. xxx

I have set aside this afternoon for crafting, gathering ideas, christmas planning etc as I feel like I am starting to slip behind and if I dont make a start soon - I do not want a miserable last minute rush in the run up to it.
Although I had an unusual buy today.
A meter of white twine.
I cannot for love nor money think why I have ordered it.
I have closed my garden down for winter so I don't think its anything garden related.
So it must be craft related in some way.
Answers on a postcard please!

@sammy_kaye18 handles perhaps, a tie for something or maybe a rustic bow on something?
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine so sorry to hear about your storm damage. Hope everything that you really treasure is ok and that your insurance covers the rest.
Quilt 1 is well on the way. I should be able to finish it this weekend and all with stuff in stash. I have cheated a bit and gone very simple but needs must when you are on a tight deadline.!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi, I had a great day on Thursday and only bought the things on my list. I could not find gold fittings for my Xmas bags but I've found them on eBay. I was not tempted to buy anything extra so was very proud of myself. Here's a pic of my purchases.
The chunky wool is for hats, the pink wool is for a striped cardi for dgd. The lippy fabric is to sew a toilet bag for oldest dgd. She'll love it as she's just at that age. The other fabric is for the wedding quilt I'm making. The strippy scrap fabric was a gift from one of the stall holders. It's pure cashmere and so soft. I'll have to get my thinking cap on for ideas what to make. The rest of my stuff was all for bag making. My friend had her smart watch on and we walked 6 miles that day - no wonder I was exhausted but very happy with my day.
Happy crafting xx

Been away for a week's break - I did do some knitting while in the air bnb but nothing finished.
So sorry to hear about being flooded out - we were in Nottingham and it rained so hard there.

Good morning, I finished the Aran weight cardi for dgs' Xmas. I was going to knit a jacket but dil prefers cardigans so a cardigan it is 😃. I bought the buttons on Thursday and they match perfectly.
Today I'm starting an Aran weight striped cardigan for dgd - hoping I'll get that done quickly as I have several more things to knit before Xmas.

Thanks all, looks like it will be a few months until we can go back to the house. Starting the process of sorting everything now to find out what's lost. The dark nights don't make it easier. I'll have to get back into crafting in the evenings to distract myself.
Love that cardi @plumduff558
