@daisy_1571 thankyou for pointing me in the direction of quilt as you go. This looks much more my thing and what a brilliant way to use up all of the smaller batting pieces. I think I could do machine quilting on my simple machine this way. Another new craft for me to try in 2024.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi, today I finished a quilt that I'll be using as a throw on my settee. I sewed the top about 6 months ago and then just went on to other things 😳and it was left. Most of the fabric was bought a few years ago. Best thing about it is the backing that is made from a twenty year old peach flannelette sheet. It is quite bobbly but just so cosy. I love it.
@daisy_1571 Your wall hanging is lovely, I especially like all the labels. I've made several memory quilts and leave the labels on where possible.
@Pink12345 I love your ducky quilt and the jewellery frame is a great idea.
Ive just heard my new dil is visiting on the 23rd so now I'm going to be rushing to complete their quilt. It's my own fault I should have done it before my quilt. My excuse is that that my one had been waiting longer 🫣. A bit belated as they were married on the 7th October.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

@plumduff55 your quilt is beautiful. Love the colours.
I have made 20 simple greetings cards today. Just stuck a picture on card and added a bow. Counting that as 2 makes. Christmas crafting has taken hold with a vengence here. Just hope that I get it all finished in time!craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@Soontobeoap I watch Sam Calcott on YouTube she does all sorts of fun fold cards and gift bags, and you don't need dies. Her cards from scraps videos are good too2025 craft items finished 11/12

Hi, Everyone. I’ve been missing in action for the last couple of months because my (Brand new, definitely not cheap, laptop) decided it was time to push up daisies a couple of weeks after its 1 year warranty ran out! I was just finishing off my September update; there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth, I can tell you! While I was investigating options, I did try using my phone, but my fat thumbs stressed me out. In the end, after advice from a very helpful local computer repair guy I got in touch with Amazon, from whom I’d bought the beast, and they gave me a full refund. Last week, I bought a renewed laptop from Amazon for half the price and it arrived at the weekend. It’s immaculate, has a full year’s warranty and I’m very happy with it (fingers and toes crossed!).
I’m not going to do my usual reponse to what you’ve all been up to, as it’d take as much time to read as War & Peace, thanks to all you clever and very industrious crafters.
I have to say I lost my crafting mojo too. I think I was fed up just using stuff up, doing what fitted what I had woolwise. So, laptop back, I treated myself to a wool pack for a crochet along project – which I have started. Actually the pack was just over £25.00 and there was free postage if I spent over £30.00, so …. added 3 balls Aran (£9.00). Then I had a discount code and final bill was £30.74, so I've forgiven myself. I’m still sticking to stash for cardmaking and sewing though.
I’ll post makes for September and October soon, hopefully before I post those for November.
Night night, all.

greentree, good idea, its good to use things but i know I'm trying to do it partly so when I want to make something I can buy the items I need rather than trying to find something that will do from my own shelves
