I love the little cardi @plumduff55. Such a sweet pattern and the crochet flower just finishes it off beautifully.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hi, I've had a lovely day with the grandkids. I gave new dil the quilt I made as a wedding present and she was delighted with it. She chose the design and the fabrics and I did wonder how it would look as my choice of colours would have been quite different 🥴. But it is lovely and she likes it which is the main thing. I added 4 applique labels on each corner of the quilt that give details of their wedding day. This king size quilt is the largest I have ever made and it was hard going on my shoulders while I was quilting it but I got there and in time !!! No more big projects for a while 😉

Such a pretty cardigan @plumduff55
The quilt is gorgeous. Did you do it on a normal domestic sewing machine or do you have a quilting one with a large throat?2025 craft items finished 11/12

@old_fogey Hi, my machine is a basic manual Janome that I've had for more than 15 years. It's not a quilting machine but it does have a steel body so feels nice and heavy when sewing especially quilts etc. I bought a computerised Brother embroidery/sewing machine about 8 years ago but don't like it for sewing. I just use it for embroidery.I don't think I'll be doing any more large quilts like this - my arms and shoulders are still sore. I'm going to try QAYG as this might be easier xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order

Thanks for the info @plumduff55 . Very interesting. Earlier this year when I started using my machine again after a gap of many years, I wondered whether to buy a new one or get this one serviced. I decided it was solid, metal, and likely to be far better made than current models, so got it serviced. Glad I did.2025 craft items finished 11/12

@Soontobeoap Another lovely quilt. I ❤️the applique. Your quilt looks like Cath Kidston.
Today I finished sewing 2 bags for dgd's Xmas. Just another organiser purse to sew for a friend and 2 hats to knit for friends. This is great as I've usually still got loads to in December.
Today I was at Physio again re Sciatica - and was also diagnosed with gluteal tendinopathy. If no improvement by January I've to be referred. It's at times like this that I'm so glad I have plenty hobbies that I can do at home. I would be bored stiff if I didn't have my sewing, knitting and quilting to keep me sane.

I'm completely behind on how many makes I'm actually at because I lost count. I think I lost the bookmark that sends emails on this when the new forum came about and I'm terrible at remembering!! I'll scratch off the cards I don't remember as lost, and start again from this week.
So, 6 cards to report and 28 chocolate containing favour boxes. I saw an origami tutorial for them which uses 14x14cm pieces of paper, which used up most of my stash of 6in square christmas papers. They're not big enough for most of my christmas cards, so very glad I found a use for them!! It's actually 56 pieces of 6x6in gone as you need one for the base and one for the lid, and the excess strips for the latch. I do have another little stash of papers to go through, and lots of chocolates. Hoping they'll be nice little filler items for my last two craft fairs of the year.
I did slip and fall and bought a goody box from a well known card making company... which i'm sharing with my mum! Two of the cards are from that, and two others are from a paper pad I bought a very long time ago. I've designed a card which uses that pad and will just make it them until it's gone.
Now at 182/200- probably would've reached my target if I'd counted all the other cards!!
