2023 - No Craft Spending - I WILL bust my stash and make pretty things!!!!!

Love the idea @daisy_1571 of keeping memories somewhere you can see them! Definitly against the idea of having boxes of memory stuff to lug around now! Something I've been very guilty of. I think once the wet stuff is sorted and culled. The survivors will be reevaluated too!7

@daisy_1571 thanks for all the info on QAYG . I am hoping to get into quilting next year. Finish off some of my mums orphan blocks and stash, with the long term aim of making a bed quilt. I had been mulling it over previously - there is a long armer near by, and also a longarm machine for hire, but it would be totally against my mums ethos. I will do it all on my domestic machine using qayg. She hand quilted.
@Pink12345 lovely makes. That bow is sumptuous. Mine never quite look right.
@greentiger a lot of great cards there.

@old_fogey I learnt on Youtube along time ago how to do bows, when I went searching for the video, but I could not find it to put a link up. But I found an alternative, which is excellent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4prh8tGs0I
@greentiger lots of great cards, love the present bag
My makes this week, a wreath for a friend, the ribbon I sewed matching green down the centre of the gold ribbon, as I did not have anything that matched. Pleased with that.
Christmas stockings for DD and SIL.
Grey and burgundy cushions for our house, and I made them with envelope back, so much easier than putting in a zip. The backs are at the top plain grey and the bottom cream as I only had 4 skinny quarters of grey fabric.
A long time ago, I bought Insul-Bright (thermal insulating lining) but never used it. So only opened the packet last week. I never made an oven mitt before, so I am happy with it. I had not got enough fabric to complete so added the white stripes from scraps. The mitt is for my DD.
I have used up 10 spools of thread with various amounts on the spools, but I have run out of white and red thread, so I ordered some from Amazon, £15.90. Total spends for the year £23.35.
Happy crafting everyone.

no 2 quilt finished. 3rd will hopefully be completed before we go to Sons on 25th November. Bought green fabric and filling
but rest of fabric is from my stash. It is visibly going down now. Should soon fit it all into my storage crates as long as I dont buy any more!!

@Pink_1234 Your Christmas cushions and wreath are lovely.
@daisy_1571 I ❤️ applique. It's really effective in your quilt.
Last night I added a knitted flower to the cardigan for dgd and that was it finished 😀. I think she'll like it. I eventually finished the wedding quilt this afternoon at 2.30. Just in time for new dil and grandkids visiting tomorrow. I'll post pics of that tomorrow night.
