@daisy_1571 Wow love the cat tower you are so creative, ditto the cats and cards.
@Florenceem The pens are so girly, love them. The cards are great. Do you put sentiments inside or leave them blank?
@Soontobeoap Have your group made the rag wreaths yet? The cross-stitch cards are lovely.
@Floriandatwobob You must have infinite patience to do cross-stich, cannot wait to see it finished.
@Auti Your blanket is beautiful and I love the colour combinations.
@Sammy_kay18 Hope your parents and FIL are now doing well.
@RavenRover Panty liners what a great idea
@plumduff55 The flower girl bags and tie are adorable. I envy you, as I cannot put in a zip as neat as you, well done.
Emsi_b Love the makes good luck on the 14th, hope everything sells
I have been busy. I have learned to use a walking foot after owing my machine for about 10 years, the quilts when quilting don’t bunch up as much, courtesy Utube.
I repaired a badly put in zip, added a button and cord to a pair of summer trousers that I struggled to zip up as it was a side zip, put vilene on the inside of a t shirt that had embroidery down one side that was rough on my skin, wearing t shirt today and no scratching, great.
Crafting: A wip C tree skirt was finished off, I had cut fabric too tight in a few places and the homemade binding wasn’t flexible enough for the shape. So in true MSE fashion, I patched up the missing bits, thanks Utube suggested to use bias binding, as it was more flexible.
I made 3 stockings the red one was the proto type, thought it was too tall, I am not keen on it. The green ones are for the little lady who I previously made the quilt for. In MSE style I used fabric that I was given years ago that I would never ordinarily use to line the stockings.
The red and white quilt, I just fancied making, and in keeping with MSE principles, I added a red stripe to the back of the quilt as I did not have enough white fabric to complete it.
The multi coloured quilt, I had previously had 5 squares left over from a previous project, many moons ago, so I used them up, I was short for a particular square, so I joined 3 strips together to make a square.

Wow @Pink12345 you have been busy.
They all look incredible.
Cant remember who posted the A4 bag but it looks great and so practical for your needs.
Thankfully life seems to have settled down a bit now.
Father is on the mend from spinal surgery, no painkillers and is flying off to Morocco tomorrow for a week because he thinks some sunshine will help the healing (that or the booze! Im not saying hes an alcoholic but if I dont get a drink photo from him then I worry he hasnt got there or hes been kidnapped!)
Mother is healing well too and was signed off from the doctor for another 2 months today so isnt back until December. Spoke to her today and she has her voice back, is happy shes lost some weight and has practically given up smoking.
Father In Law came home yesterday after surgery to remove bowel and fit a stoma, has a bit of a drama whilst in there by getting a chest infection and catching covid but hes home now, resting and healing. So fingers crossed we have a smooth few months till Christmas.
And I have found my crafting mojo and sat the other day and tackled a craft I have been putting off and tried my hand at Macrame finally. Took a while to get the hang but Im happy with it and made my first bag. I mean she aint perfect but I think I did ok.
Its crazy how fast Christmas is coming around! Let alone Halloween so I need to pull my finger out and get making before then!Time to find me again14 -
@sammy_kaye18 Your bag looks great. I did some macrame years ago - I did enjoy it.
@Pink12345 your quilts are beautiful. The one with the squares is the same design as the one I'm making for a wedding present. Your colours are beautiful. Mines is very muted with pink, red and beige. My dil chose the fabric. Lovely Xmas things - I must get started.
Ive finished the Xmas jumper for my 3 year old granddaughter and also the personalised cushion for my niece who was married in Italy last month. I'm not very happy with it as the join of the piping is not great. Message to self - don't sew presents when stressed with family stuff 🥴.
Ive posted pics below but covered the personal details.
Happy crafting

They look great @plumduff55
I love the snowman and the cushion looks beautiful and will no doubt be a loving keepsake from you of their special day.Time to find me again7 -
Just tried to upload a photo my post and it deleted it 🙃
Let's try again...
I'm one and a half pairs of shoes finished out of the 6 I want to paint for presents. Only have a few minutes here and there to do it in the evenings mostly.

Hi all! Given that my yarn stash is now bigger than my shoe collection (no easy task!), I need to start using it up. Currently crocheting an infinity scarf to go in a Christmas box, but need some further ideas. Quick easy wins perhaps. I can crochet but cannot knit, sadly (although that is my 2024 learning point). Anyone made mug cosies before? I'm very much an experienced beginner and struggle a bit with patterns still.7

You have all been so busy, great makes.
@Pink12345 I particularly love the tree skirt. I am a beginner with my walking foot - so far only used for curtain/pelmet, but it is noticeably better, before at the end of a long seam the fabric would have moved significantly. I am hoping to learn to quilt with it soon.
Well done on the macrame bag @sammy_kaye18
Such a cute jumper @plumduff55 The cushion is just beautiful .
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine the shoes are fab. The recipients will be thrilled.
I got a move on and did my Christmas cards. I saw a pack of decoupage toppers that match a paper pad I already had, on offer, so went with that for ease . The hand delivered ones I decoupaged, the ones for posting I didn't as it would cost too much to post. Did 25 in total. I just need to do a special one for hubby.

@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine your shoes are unique. What lovely gifts.
Beautiful cards @old_fogey
I have to knit 2 Aran jackets for my two youngest grandchildren for Christmas but instead of starting them I've started an Aran jacket for myself 🥴. It's all stocking stitch with one of those self patterning yarns so it shouldn't take long. Although I might have to stop it midway to knit the grandkids jackets.
Months ago I started making 3 Christmas cross body bags to give as gifts. I couldn't finish them as I didn't have the hardware for them. Well they're on my shopping list for my visit next week to the Hobbycraft show in Glasgow. I can't believe it's that time of year again. I just ❤️ this exhibition.

Love all the pics of lovely things recently: quilt, bag, cushion, rubbers, cards etc talented people ♥
I've just made another little bed for the adopted kittycat 😺 she loves all her beds that we've made, especially likes the one that has a curtain so is a proper hidey hole. She isn't coming in at night to where we watch TV and I hope a hidey hole bed in there might help. So, a shaped box from tesco, the last remnant of a blanket someone gave me and I love the colourful stripes, an amaz@n box with 3 of the flaps sellotaped up and covered with wrapping paper. Let's see how she gets on with it, fingers crossed.
I also used fur from a hot water bottle cover, some stuffing and a little dried catnip to make her some 'mice' to play with. She loves them. Her absolute favourite toys tho are the cut off 'fancy' seam from the outside leg of a pair of jeans and the waist cord from a zipped sweatshirt cardi that I removed before chucking the cardi. She loves us using these as snakes. She pounces like a kitten, pawing and pretend biting. So sweet, really glad we've found how she likes to play.
Take care everyone, daisy xxx
