Bad kitty. I feed the birds a lot here as the advice I was given was that there is protection in numbers so the birds shout warnings to each other.
Are you giving up on YG now? It seems to take people years to get to payout, and I gave up on it very quickly. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

We had a bad kitty here yesterday as well. While Soot is a cracking mouser, which is useful given the annual infestation, he usually leaves birds alone. He brought a baby sparrow in yesterday & presented it to me on the living room rug. Managed to rescue it as Soot is easily distracted by biscuits, much like his Meowmy.

Have booked in boiler service for next Thursday and electrical repair for next Tuesday. I've got the home care cover with BG and didn't realise it covered repairs not just emergencies so booked in the non working lights in the living room and understairs cupboard. I had an electrician come out last year (not BG) and it was just a couple of wires that needed connecting back up. He was meant to return the following week to do the repair and haven't heard from him since, as it's been over a year I guess he's not coming 😆
I knew Mr SA getting up early didn't bode well, he was hassling me to take the dog out before 9am. I told him I had a meeting so couldn't at that point in time and asked him to wait until the meeting had finished. He's far too impatient to wait so took her out by himself on the scooter. He's back in bed now.
On the money saving front one of my magazine subscriptions was about to renew at full price as the introductory year's offer has finished. Cancelled it and will renew with another offer half the price.

Well that's good Mr SA took the dog out and then went back to bed out of your way!
Great spot on the subscription.

Well done with getting to the mag subscription before the full price renew
Love the idea of birds alerting their group to danger @redofromstart

Happy Friday 🥳
Worked in the office today, finished early, had a potter round the city centre then stopped off at Lid! on the walk back. Got my free pineapple now have free strawberries to pick up. I’m loving this month’s freebies.Tried on loads of pairs of sunglasses in TK Maxx as my old ones broke. How blooming difficult do they make it in there to actually see what they look like on with a massive security tag on your nose and hundreds of tags dangling from them 😖 Gave up in the end. Glad I did because when I got home I had a rummage in a drawer and found a spare pair that will do just fine, happy days 🙂
Today’s exercise has been 21,000 steps so far.Tonight’s dinner is the final portion of veggie lasagne from freezer stocks with salad.
Looking forward to putting my feet up later with a glass of vino tinto 🍷 And falling asleep no doubt 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10 -
I never take tablets unless I’m desperate but last time I was in the office on Wednesday my eyes and nose were streaming and really sore. Today I took an antihistamine before I left home and have been so much better. When I’m WFH I’m fine so it can’t be hay fever surely 🤔 Must be allergic to the city centre 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
