It's great your daughter doesn't have long to wait and Ibiza may well be on the horizon!
Re: the accidental husband, crumbs, when you come to write your autobiography, no one will be able to put it down. Too many unguessable plot twists!
And may I ask how you tame your tradescantia please? I've been given a beautiful one which is growing apace as one long trail. Should I shorten it and root the cuttings, then use them to thicken up the top, or will it get thicker by itself?I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’m afraid I haven’t tamed my tradescantia 😬 so no tips unfortunately. A local park has a tropical house where they grow naturally and it seems they like to grow along the floor in a long trail.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Glad DD has got a quick appointment - sounds optimistic about Ibiza.
very sad about Michael Moseley - what a terrible thing to happen. Life if so finely balanced.

Happy Sunday everyone.Another busy day.Firstly I am so sorry to hear about Michael Mosley what a shock for his family and he seemed a genuinely nice bloke.Took the dog on the park this morning and litter picked at the same time. A runner stopped to thank me for keeping the park looking so nice.No fence painting today as it was really windy. Instead I mowed both lawns and chopped the height off a very tall and very prickly Berberis. Filled the garden waste bin. Also assembled my new sun bed. The instructions were pants, managed it in the end but it took ages. Just need some sunbathing weather now.A good soak in the bath was very much needed after all this.Got two loads of washing dry and briefly saw the bottom of the laundry basket.Money wise it was a NSD and I did a few surveys this morning.Tonight’s dinner is basil pesto salmon traybake with steamed veg. The basil, sugar snap peas and mangetout are all home grown from seed.Back in the office tomorrow but another short week as I’m off Friday for a day out with retired friends.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Very sad about Michael Mosley.
Nice that you've got a day out planned for Friday"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1 -
Monday already but as I said a short week again for me.
Planned to go into the office today but decided to WFH in the end as it's raining. I'm down to only attend the office 1 day a week, did 2 last week and plan to go in on Wednesday. In effect I only need to attend the office 4 days this month but will do more than that.
I need to go out shortly to pick up some bread and milk as we will be completely out of both once Mr SA has had his breakfast and they can't wait until the Mr M delivery tomorrow.
Did my usual Monday finance check and paid off the cc balance, just a few things pending from the weekend now. An oddment of £4.73 was sent to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise is aiming for 15,000 steps to include dog walking and walk to the shops plus a hooping session at 6pm.
Tonight's dinner is leftover veggie chilli that needs using up and either a jacket potato or wedges.
Cleaning tasks are the bathroom and ironing. Gardening task is to paint the back gate (weather permitting) and water greenhouse plants.
The dog and young cat need their flea treatment applying forgot to do it yesterday. I dread doing the young cat she makes such a song and dance about it. The dog hears the snap of the pipette and holds her neck down for it bless her.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
If it helps, I get my cats between my knees, almost sitting on them, but without the weight and with my ankles together at the back and my bum right down so they can’t reverse 😅. When I let them go they launch out like it’s a starting gate for the grand cat national 😁
i hope you have a good day. It’s raining here too.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

God news about your Dd getting her appointment through so quickly. No operation is pain free but I believe the newer technique they use makes is far better for recovery than years ago, which has to be better all round 👍
Michael Mosley’s loss is so sad. He seemed a very genuine man. His family must be devastated. And what a talented doctor he was 😢January spends - £587.582 -
The weather is awful here, every time the sun comes out it's replaced by torrential rain and gale force winds! I was absolutely frozen going to the shop this morning and I had a long sleeved thermal vest on with a sweatshirt on top plus a coat and scarf! It's June 😞
I think I can safely say I won't be painting the gate later.
DD is back at work today, it'll be a short week for her as she's at the hospital tomorrow then it's the op on Friday plus 2 weeks recovery.
Just a small spends day of £3.60 to top up on bread, milk and margarine this morning, none of which I use. No one thinks of telling me when these things are running low just when they've run out!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5
