Just back from our few days away and caught up. Have to agree it was very sad about Michael Mosley. I used to listen to his podcasts on BBC sounds. Such an inspirational guy to listen to.

I think you must have more hours in a day than me - you achieve so much each day.

naughty cat!  Mine had a fur ball yesterday with associated dramatic yowling and retching.  I managed to get some newspaper under him but of course he appeared to have finished, sauntered off and then did some more on the newly cleaned carpet!  I use flea tablets crushed up in one of those lickety treats.  Couldn't cope with the drama and recriminations from the drops on the back of his neck.

The electrician struggled to find an easy solution for the lights. He thinks it will involve taking up floorboards in DD's room or in our room. Anyway as I didn't want him to start taking flooring up it has been decided to wait until DD's room is being renovated and to book the job in again when the flooring is up and the room has been cleared. He's not going to put a charge through for today which is great. Mr SA really got on my nerves hanging around and asking daft questions. Then he asked the electrician to have a look at the bathroom fan while he was here. He's going to replace that when he comes back to do the lights. He said he could replace it now with a bog standard one but if he's coming back he could get hold of a better one for the same price so we will wait.

All in all I thought that was very good service indeed from BG.
