I've found the slowest coriander variety to bolt is 'Calypso'. It has a lower growing point than other varieties, so unless there's a heatwave, it will usually stand repeat cutting before it bolts.

Cauliflower is so versatile, but those pouches of cauli-rice? YUK: sludgy yuk.
Hope DD's appointment goes well. Is she feeling stronger?Gunpowder spice mix:
1 tbsp garlic granules
2 tbsp ground cumin
2 tbsp ground coriander
1 tsp chilli powder
1.5 tsp bicarbonate of soda
This makes a fair bit so you can get a few goes out of it.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

I’m absolutely shattered tonight!Went to the big Mr T this morning as didn’t have time yesterday. Didn’t realise you couldn’t check out until 10am so had to loiter a bit. So much for getting there and done early.Made a start on staining the gates and fences. It looks quite good so far but it’s a lighter shade than the colour I used last year on the old fences so won’t exactly match even with a couple of coats. I’ve started painting over the old fences but they’re still darker although they don’t look massively different. The downside of living next door to a church and across the road from a park is a constant stream of passers by and most of them wanted to engage in conversation about the fence. Yes I know I’ve got a long drive and a lot of fencing 😐 Not got that much done in just over 3 hours but will press on tomorrow.Had some time in my hanging chair and finished the Rob Rinder book. It was quite good. Next book on the list is The Accidental Husband by Jane Green which has been on my bookshelf for a long time. Trying to read the books that have been hanging around the longest.Tonight’s dinner was a portion of vegan roast from the freezer with new potatoes and steamed veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Sounds pretty wearing but it will be worth it when it's done.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Day off work today and have spent it productively so far. Walked down to Lid! first thing to use the free bread and free chilli vouchers, now have a free avocado voucher. Dropped off Mr SA’s medical exemption application at the doctors on the way there. Then took the dog on the park.Finished painting the fence down the side of the drive. Spent an hour on it this morning and an hour after lunch. It looks good if I do say so myself. Still need to paint a small fence on the other side and the gate to the back of the house. Then it’s time to start on the back garden fences 😬 I was starting to get slap dash so time to pack up, I’d had enough. Will do the small fence after work tomorrow, weather permitting. At least no one disturbed me today as the gates were closed and I’m only little so no one could see me 😆
Just having a break then will give the house a quick vacuum and tidy round.Doing a live bums & tums at 5.30 then will jump in the bath afterwards.Tonight’s dinner is leftover gunpowder cauliflower curry.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7 -
As if I hadn’t done enough today I decided to start tidying up the bushes and cut the grass. The garden waste bin is already full to the brim so clippings are in the wheelbarrow waiting for the bin to be emptied tomorrow.Back to work tomorrow but WFH so not so bad. Wednesday however it’s back to the office, although it will be good to have a break from Mr SA. My line manager has put me on expected one day a week in the office but was willing to keep it at zero days. I need the change of scenery now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Finances checked and spreadsheets updated. CC balance cleared. £200 sent to Nwide regular saver, £250 to Principality regular saver and £150 to YBS Christmas Saver.
Totted up survey/cashback for May and the total was £100.03 - £3.50 Amazon Shopper Panel, £25 from Opinium, £50.53 from PA and £21 from Quidco.
Transferred money spent on garden/house stuff from house pot to current account.
Today's exercise is dog walking later this morning, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Need to sort something out for tonight's dinner, it will be something that needs using up from the fridge. Also need to make a batch of soup for work lunches.
DD has just set off for her scan results, fingers crossed all is well.
