Just back from the park volunteer group meeting and winding down before going to bed. Usually fast off at this time 😆 It was a good meeting anyway.Cleaned the carpet and it looks (and smells) a lot better. The V@x worked quite well once I’d read the instructions leaflet. I’m a devil for not reading instructions and just pressing buttons but had to give in on this occasion 😆
DS has been bitten by something in long grass today, his leg swelled up and he ended up at the doctors. He’s on antibiotics as the doctor thinks it’s a tick bite.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4 -

Reading the instructions? You defeatist!
I'm glad it worked, anyway.
Sorry to hear your DS is in the wars. I hope the bite settles down quickly.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Happy Friday also happy payday for me.
Have already done the payday shuffle. £100 gone to Premium Bonds and money ready and waiting for the regular savers. An oddment of £2.64 has gone to the Christmas pot, £80 to the annual outgoings pot, £20 to glasses pot, £50 to vet pot and £50 to appliances pot.
CC balance has been cleared again but this comes out of the spends pot. Holiday pot has gone down drastically as the Lanzarote spending money is coming off the M&S card direct debit next week.
All bills money for the month is in place ready to start going out again.
I'm only doing 6 hours WFH today then that's me done with work until Tuesday. Need to go to Lid! then I have the hairdressers at 5pm.
Exercise today will be just walking, aiming for 20,000 steps. Need to take the dog on the park as well as walk to Lid! so target should be met easily.
Tonight's dinner is breaded sweet chilli fish fillet with celeriac and swede chips and lots of steamed veg.
Cleaning task is the living room and bedroom. I doubt whether I'll have time to fit in a garden task as well but will catch up with it over the weekend. Hoping to at least make a start on the fence painting this weekend, there is a heck of a lot of it so it needs to be done in stages or I'll lose the will to live with it.
Can't believe that's May done. What a stressful month it's been for me. Hopefully June will be much better.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
