Morning all, happy Tuesday.
Back to work but from home so doesn't seem quite as bad. Going to book next Monday off I think so I can have another long weekend.
Mr M delivery arrived first thing so all put away.
End of the budget period finances done and there was an underspend of £146.30. £6.30 has gone to the Christmas pot and £140.00 to the house/garden pot. There was an oddment of £3.06 left in the current account so that's gone to the Christmas pot too.
The big local park with the plant shop is giving away free bedding plants so I'm going to take some time away from work later this morning to go and have a look. As they advertised them yesterday I expect there won't be many left but it's worth a look and will give the dog a walk as a change from the park across the road.
Today's exercise is the walk to the park, bums & tums at lunchtime and resistance bands tonight.
Tonight's dinner is stir fried vegetables and wholewheat noodles with air fried tofu.
Cleaning task is the bathroom as I didn't get around to it yesterday. Gardening task is potting up bedding plants if I'm lucky enough to get any of the freebies.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

No prizes for guessing that there weren't any free plants. Either they'd all gone or they hadn't put them out yet, as we got there just after they'd opened. Wouldn't be surprised if an hour later there would be. Stopped off at Ald! on the way back and bought 3 trays of bedding plants from there. Must remember to grow some from seed next year. I got so carried away planting veg seeds I totally forgot about flowers.
We got soaked on the way home. It's been raining on and off all day so don't expect I'll be ticking anything off the garden to do list today apart from watering greenhouse plants.

Ahh shame about the free plants. I managed to miss the rain here today but it’s looking decidedly dark out there nowOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202

Morning all.
Weather looks better today hopefully will get some washing dry.
WFH and have a clear calendar so trying to clear my work to do list. There are quite a few people off this week so hopefully no one will add anything.
Did a pre-payday check of finances and shuffled an oddment of £7.74 to the Christmas pot. I'm over halfway to my £600 target which is just about right for the time of year. Today should be a NSD.
Today's to do:
Spanish - done
Clean kitchen
Garden task - tidy and sweep covered area where Mr SA keeps his scooter
Make a batch of soup for lunches
Walk down to doctors to pick up a form for Mr SA's medical exemption certificate (this will be the last time he'll have to submit this form as he's 60 next April)
Take the dog on the park and litter pick
Zumba at 6pm
I ordered some V@x carpet cleaner yesterday and that should arrive today. If it arrives early enough I'll have a go at cleaning the hall/stair carpet. Got to be worth a try before paying out for professionals only for Mr SA to soil it again.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of veg lasagne from the freezer with salad.

Good luck with the carpet.
You have remined me that it is about time we got our carpets cleaned again. We got some chaps in to do them last time. They only charged £90 to do the whole house and the carpets looked amazing when they had finished.2 -
Sorry about the carpets. Not the same as your problem but we needed something due to animal accidents.
i have a Bissell pro heat which replaced a useless vax. I use it with ideal 365 Carpet Cleaner which is specifically intended for little accidents in care homes. £13 for 5 litres on Azn.
