Thank you all. Work would be fine with me taking time out, they’re really good like that. I’ll log on tomorrow and see how I feel. I will definitely cut back on the voluntary work for now and if at any time I feel overwhelmed with the day to day stuff I’ll step out. It might actually help me to focus on something other than hospitals. Plus I know my lovely colleague in Scotland will be straight on the phone when she finds out what’s happened and will cheer me up. She calls me most days and we often chat for the best part of an hour mostly not about work 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)10

Just got back from holiday and catching up. I hope you get good news on DD and Mr SA today , am sure they will be home soon.As everyone says , look after yourself as well as you will be the primary carer for both when they return home .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.2

Glad work will be supportive whatever you decide. It's good that you have a lovely colleague to chat to as well, it makes all the difference."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0

Morning everyone.
Back at work today but WFH. Just waiting for the Mr M delivery.
Slept ok last night but had to have the radio on all night. I can't sleep in silence although the dog was snoring.
Mr SA has had a bad night and sounds terrible again. I really didn't want to have to go to the hospital today but when he called this morning he said all his clothes are wet and he has nothing to wear. I hate saying this but I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was deliberate on his part as he knew I didn't plan to visit today. Yesterday when I told him today may have to be to visit DD with clean PJs he said 'can't she wear a hospital gown' so I said the same thing to him this morning! I've told him I'm at work so he'll have to wait until later in the day.
I've sent a message to my line manager asking her to call me when she's free. She's not an early starter though. I'm slowly ploughing through my inbox and have already declined one meeting where I've already told them I can't attend because I'm at the dentist and am definitely not changing it!
Finances have been checked and cc balance paid off. I can't believe DD paid her board from hospital I was expecting to have to wait for her to come home for that.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Well sometimes there is good news. If you can remember I was nominated for an award recently. I've got through to the finals 😁 I've received an invite to the ceremony in London. However, it's the day we're meant to be flying to Ibiza, although I doubt that will happen now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8

Congratulations on making it to the final, if you do go then perhaps you need to film a ‘Hollywood style’ speech 🤣🤣

Well done on getting through to the finals! You high flyer.
I have a feeling it's well deserved.
I'm sorry Mr SA isn't so good today. As you say, it may be because you weren't going to visit - exactly the same pattern as the falls. I hope he feels better soon, and cuts back on the pestering.
And how nice of your DD to sort out her payment to you from hospital. I hope she has a better day too. I suppose the ward rounds will be back to normal so there may be progress for her soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
