Tried to take the dog on the park but we only got as far as the gate when she refused to go any further. I tried pulling her harness but she wasn’t having it. So we came back home. I’ll throw her ball in the garden instead.DD is having another blood transfusion so won’t be home today. She said she can manage without PJs as she has clean T-shirts. I hope she’s not just saying this because of her dad.I feel this is a good time to clear out Mr SA’s drawers from hell. He has 3 of them full of junk. One of them mainly contains empty or nearly empty lip balms!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I'm glad Mr SA seems to be recovering - if he's put in his daily Pester List to you via phone today he must be feeling brighter!😁. Plus as his sister is finally doing something for him by visiting and he already has all his bits and bobs with him, I don't think it's necessary for you to visit as well seeing that the hospitals are so far apart and you're a non-driver.
I hope DD's bloods are back to normal today.Good idea about temporary WFH. I agree though that one of the downsides is the isolation from colleagues. Does your employer have an employee help line you can use to speak to a counsellor for support? My last firm did though I never actually used it whilst I was working so I can't comment about what it was like. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

@Seasidegal58 yes we do have an employee helpline/health provider. Never used them myself but others have been very happy with the service.Several more calls from Mr SA 😞 Visiting hours are 11am to 8pm. At 11.10 he rang to say his sister hadn’t been yet. 30 minutes later he rang to tell me the visiting hours again. As the bus that goes directly there only runs once an hour and I can’t remember how long it takes me to walk to the bus stop from home, I’m catching a taxi there and the bus back and will time the walk from the stop to home. It’s not a reliable service so buses often turn up very late or not at all. At least I know I could always walk home if necessary. That said I don’t plan to visit him tomorrow and I suspect he may well be home before DD as he sounds in better shape than her.I’ve planted some lettuce seeds and done a bit of gardening. Can’t get on with anything as my blooming phone keeps ringing 😡I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

I second @Cherryfudge's idea about the landline. He's in a safe, secure place and any calls to you made on his mobile whilst in hospital will not be due to an emergency. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Just catching up with your diary. Blimey you have had an interesting weekend!
Glad Mr SA is in the best place he can be right now and that it was caught quickly.
Hope DD is well enough to come home soon.
In the meantime enjoy the peace and quiet. I agree with turning your phone off!
