Oh goodness me - that's all you need.
hope they both recover well.
Fingers-crossed you will have a good night's sleep and can have a restful day tomorrow.2 -
Oh crumbs SA: I'm away a few hours and all this happens. I feel bad for not taking MR SA more seriously (though I was right about him wanting lip balm). I do hope all three poorly ones have a peaceful night and some healing rest.
And you - I hope you can sleep and catch up on missing shut-eye, but if you can't, maybe a relaxing bath and a hot chocolate, or equivalent to slow yourself down after all the adrenalin.
Sending love and hugs and hoping for a brighter day tomorrow.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

So sorry to hear of all the poorly people but glad you have the house to yourself to do as you wish for now.I ended up in hospital a couple of years ago, In A&E there was always someone attached to a prison officer but it was a bit of a surprise when a lady was brought up to the Stroke Ward from A&E handcuffed to the bed one side &a prison officer the other. I was only there for another 10 hours but she had 2 officers with her at all times. They were struggling to get cover to swap with them at the end of their shift. It occurred to me that hospitalisation must be a huge drain on their resources.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j3

Thank goodness you were home before Mr S_A started feeling poorly. I hope everyone is better soon and that you manage some sleep tonight.2

Why did they decide to keep DD in hospital? Hope she's OK and that MrSA improves. (((hugs))) XX

Morning everyone.A lovely sunny morning here so doing a load more washing. The laundry basket is empty 🥳
Already had 5 calls from Mr SA, what time am I visiting, can I bring him this, this and this. A lot of the stuff he’s asking for is in the bag I took in yesterday. No plans to go until after lunch, I need to get stuff done and it takes such a big chunk out of the day. His sister is going today anyway.Going to phone DD later and see if she’s coming out today. I wish I’d just taken her the clean PJs yesterday. If she’s staying in and needs them I’m afraid Mr SA will have to go without as I’m not visiting 2 different hospitals that are nowhere near each other.I’ve done a load of ironing and will take the dog on the park shortly.I slept really well last night, fell asleep with the TV on but it switches itself off after so long. The dog hasn’t left my side. She keeps wandering out to Mr SA’s scooter and looking at it. She must wonder what on earth is going off.I’m back at work tomorrow but will contact my line manager to put a temporary WFH arrangement in place. There’s no way I can go in the office and cope with all this. I know she’ll agree as the only alternative is going off with stress. When Mr SA was in hospital with cancer I went to work every day for company, my colleagues were very supportive and they got me through it. Now I barely know anyone and often don’t speak to anyone all day let alone get support.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
I'm glad you slept well. Could you get in touch with any former colleagues for support?
I think you might have to borrow Mr SA's scooter to take the dog for a walk so she gets a semblance of normality.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Visiting 2 different city hospitals in a car would be hassle enough, @Sun_Addict, so I don't blame you when you are reliant on buses or shanks' pony. I have my laundry out too as we do have lovely sunshine here this morning. I think pottering around doing jobs is a good way to cope with stress, & thank goodness you can wfh. I know you are physically v fit, but there are still limits to how much a person can cope with at any one time.
Let's hope for good news soon & that Mr SA looks in his hospital bag.
