I haven't seen the beetroot burgers in aldi for at least a year so I must try lidl, thanks. At least the parking there is very easy unlike the can I find a space somewhere Aldi which curiously has a much bigger car park.

Don't throw out all your garlic mustard! My neighbour told me how tasty it is, and he's right. I'd add it to salad or a sandwich, but it can be made into pesto too.
I had it two years ago as well, then none last year. Looking it up, perhaps we had a slack year as it appears to be biennial. It seems it's invasive, though, so perhaps I need to out some in a pot and wage war on the rest.
ETA: further reading indicates the leaves should be torn before eating to negate a toxin present in first year plants.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
