I decided to go to Lid! once Mr SA got back from the doctors. We took the dog so she got a walk and a poop out of it. Ended up spending over £60!! However this included a hand held chopper/whisk thing which is something I've been wanting for a while plus a tray of fuchsias. Picked up the free sourdough loaf and now have another free item to pick up. I took advantage of Mr SA being there with the scooter and picked up some laundry liquid and loo rolls to save me lugging them back on the way home from work.
Also dropped off the coffee pods recycling as we had to pass the shop to get to Lid!.
It's really warm outside with hazy sunshine. Hoping to get lots of washing dry.
Feeling a bit more like I'm ticking things off the list now.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
I prefer self checkouts as well, but our L!d! doesn't have any. I think that's the only store where I actually have to queue at a normal check out. Although they are pretty good at opening more tills if it gets busy, and its hardly ever busy at the times I go....normally 8am, although I was later today as I had an appointment. Didn't get there till well gone 10 and car park was full, but queues were ok and 3 tills operating. Its on the outskirts of town and I think some people leave their cars there while they nip over to the town.

Happy Friday and a lovely sunny one it is too 😎
In the office today but finishing at 1.30 to pick up the flea treatment from the vets. Have checked out where I need to catch the right bus from after the ordeal of getting the wrong one last time.
Returned the sweatshirt to a Mr S click and collect so that's saved me traipsing to the big store. The refund is already showing on my card. Picked up the free weekend paper from Waitr0se while I was up that way.
Just treated myself to a coffee from work's on site C0sta used cash I had in my purse.
Exercise today is walking to work and walking back from the vets. Already on 10k steps after the traipse across the city centre before getting into work.
Tonight's dinner is smoked basa, leeks and pearl barley with extra steamed veg. Bought a couple of packs of smoked basa from Lid! yesterday, 4 skinless, boneless fillets for £2.99.
Looking forward to putting my feet up with a glass of red tonight.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -

Have a good day. Do you do anything special with your pearl barley? I normally just use it in place of rice or chuck some in a casserole."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

Giggle time. So I was standing in the kitchen with several things that I needed to do & trying to figure out what order I should do them in, whilst nothing was actually getting done. Then I thought to myself come on progress not perfection. Then I realised what I had thought & decided to do the job that was nearest to me as at least that would achieve something. So one down only 4 to go. Still grinning though & made the first job easier too.
